2018 - 19 Season tickets

Apparently by estimation it’s an extra 2m a year. Broadcasting revenue completely dwarfs that. If it’s to ensure jobs should something go wrong and we get relegated sure, but I’m not convinced that 2m for transfers is that big a deal considering the finances we have
Ive no idea if the £2M figure is correct. Whatever the figure is though, it'll be a significant % increase on our current matchday income though and that's what's important. You also have to remember that in a few seasons, if everything goes to plan, we'll have an extra 10-15K capacity, at those increased prices.

In the end though, all it boils down to is that you can't just rely on Commercial and Broadcasting to balance the books and our matchday income as it stands is miniscule compared to the clubs we want to be competing with. There's no way we spend all this money to compete with the likes of Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea etc all while our fans are paying £100-200 less p/a in a stadium which holds 20k less. Just not going to happen.

Annoying thing for me is that over the course of this season, it would have been cheaper to go per game with all the ticket offers etc, than it would be to buy a season ticket. I don't think that should ever be the case.

I would have renewed regardless thanks to my credit card - my mortgage will be cleared before it at this rate

I’m not sure this is actually true? My ticket was £15 a game. And buying weekly you get a shit seat which you aren’t guaranteed to get.

That's the important bit, the ground just isn't big enough. Going to take a few years to sort that out mind you.

Hopefully they will announce Some kind of future plan soon. But it’s going to be a bit of a disaster when they do it unless they can manage to do it without closing anywhere off

There'll be huge demand next season, even at increased prices, so you can see why they've put them up.

It is disappointing but football ticket pricing angers me in general. There's no way it should cost as much as it does to go to watch a game of football.

Roughly a 30% increase on what I would have paid this season - within the bounds of what I expected & the 'buy back' system is of benefit for any that I cannot do or offload to others.

Real problem for me as a non S/T holder previously is the numbers available after the priority returning S/T holders have had their chance to renew. Can't see many not doing so & not going to fuss about something I can do nothing about till the end of May.

£345 all in?? Nice. My half season ticket was £256 so £21 per game. They have done a few buy 1 game get 1 half price and a few 4 for £40 so I reckon it'd be cheaper.

Guess I should have said half season ticket.

I don't think there will be any more of a premium to pay. The club don't need to fund loyalty or cash flow anymore as Fosun will do it. If they asked a higher price for new season tickets then match day tickets would in theory be above £40 and the club would be mad to do that.

Ah..just wondered why it says "These are renewal prices only and are valid until midnight 31st may 2018"
to me, that makes me think they will be cost more for new ST holders

That's the way I've read it too...This is a more expensive "early bird"

Laurie has said in his interview the prices are for existing ST holders until end of May, and then for the small number of tickets available after that there will be a different pricing strategy.

Can't do a renewal - so any increase after that will impact on whether it is worth doing

I’d be willing to pay another £100 for a ticket for me and Cass but I’m not willing to queue and miss out because it would piss me off too much. I’d rather just resign myself to not having one and watching MOTD.

can't understand the logic in screwing the supporters for not really a lot of extra revenue in their circumstances. very small increase would have shown far more goodwill.

Oh well, TV watching it is while the superfans tell us how great they are.

Follow my lead, pick an obscure U23 friendly to go to in the summer and then use it as a trump card later in the season.

Gonna be hard for me to get that money together in a couple of months... I'll try my hardest though.

On the flip side...those who have been a STH should get something for their loyalty so there's should be cheaper (sod the bandwagon jumpers from December onwards though*)

*joking Paddy, joking

Think I might have to. Either that or play a lot of Fifa and pretend I'm Alan with my knowledge of all that is football
