2018 - 19 Season tickets

I wonder how many will be left for new season tickets (or returning after a long sabbatical).

If everyone renews, there will be around 1500 I think.

So probably looking at a couple of thousand being available in June

Fuck. Hope I can nab a couple in the NB tonight.

The sales at the moment are for renewals and you have until the 31st May to renew. Then there will be the window to move seats and then General sale with what is left

I’m only a member so I’m after a new season ticket. Fuck it.

Thanks, was just going to ask about renewals/moving seats. I hate Steve Bull stand, can't get a drink or take a pee without a massive queue. I was going to try and get into NB...

Me too. If I remember correctly there was a goal for 16,000 at the beginning of the season and that was surpassed with the half season tickets. A certain number have to be kept for general sale and a number for opposition fans (3000?) so that would leave about 4000 if my maths are correct.

I'd hope they go on sale to members first rather than a general sale.

All though this isn't an early bird just a renewal window, I wonder how much new ST holders will have to pay?

I don't think there will be any more of a premium to pay. The club don't need to fund loyalty or cash flow anymore as Fosun will do it. If they asked a higher price for new season tickets then match day tickets would in theory be above £40 and the club would be mad to do that.

"Wolves have 20,800 season ticket holders who can renew at those prices. They can sell a maximum of around 22,000 season tickets" The reopening of the temp stand will probably increase the numbers they can sell by a few hundred

So around 1200 available if everyone renews...which they won't but there won't be many who don't

Does it help that much?

I’m pretty disappointed. I wouldn’t be getting a season ticket due to my own circumstances but I definitely couldn’t afford one even if I wanted.

Very aware other people happy to pay that, what with the clubs ambition.
It does tbh. You can't be too reliant on broadcasting revenue, commercial & matchday needs to keep up and ours, currently, are tiny compared to the teams we want to be competing with.

The price increase and planned stadium re-development help towards that.

Ah fuck. Unless I am inventive, and also extremely lucky in the next few weeks, I'll be hoping for some other form of initiative that the club may do/offer.

Might be able to get my glasses fixed though (but not doing that til it is definite!)

Apparently by estimation it’s an extra 2m a year. Broadcasting revenue completely dwarfs that. If it’s to ensure jobs should something go wrong and we get relegated sure, but I’m not convinced that 2m for transfers is that big a deal considering the finances we have

I've got two plastic Scousers at work who want to go to Wolves v Liverpool with me. What are the chances of me getting three tickets as a MyWolves member? Or would I have to get a STH to buy them?

the money from tickets is really peanuts in the PL. Although i'm only a occasional visitor nowadays, i personally would like to see a larger capacity and lower prices to ensure a full house every week. DW will correct me but i'm sure German football prices are quite low.

They won't have a prayer.

Ah, forgot the £6 admin fee per ticket too. Thanks for that wolves.

It is a bit sly to announce a change to the booking fee structure but not introduce it until after the renewal window.

It doesn't quite hold so true these days; prices have been steadily increasing over the last decade without going totally out of control (for instance it's now anywhere between €28 and €43 for a matchday seated ticket at St Pauli, and while technically you can get a terrace ticket for much lower than that, they're few and far between). Bayern like to make a public play of offering €100 season tickets and the like, but they're very scarce and their general prices aren't cheap.

It is cheaper on the whole than here and some clubs keep prices low, but there isn't the vast difference that you might have found a decade or more ago.

For reference I was paying €10 to get into Millerntor in 2001/2 when St Pauli were in the top flight.

Looks like I won’t be going to many games next season then!

The ground will be full next season regardless of pricing.

I see it two fold really. Less than £25 a ticket to see some great football and a club with big ambitions is great value, but 30% increase is a huge increase. Blame Moxey I guess for showing us shit football and not being able to put the price up in the past.
