2018 - 19 Season tickets

I've been priced out of a season ticket for well over a decade now so it's nothing new to me :icon_lol:

But in all seriousness, if I wasn't a single parent and if both my kids desperately wanted to go, it's not THAT bad a price for top level football with a growing club going through exciting times. I certainly don't think it's a massive surprise or a 'fuck you' to the fans.

As for Charles Ross on Twitter, I'd have far more respect for that viewpoint if he was able to tweet something positive about our owners and the direction the club is moving. To say nothing after the season we've been treated to (comfortably the best in the majority of our lifetimes) and then moan to the extent he has about this aspect of it doesn't sit right with me. An opposing viewpoint - fine. A stubborn refusal to graciously admit that Fosun are doing wonders for this football club is quite another. Also see O'Hagan, D.

The ticket prices for kids aren't too bad tbf mate.

Want to get a ticket for my little one with me but may wait until next stage of stadium has been done. North Bank prices is £449 adult and £69 U12, works out a little over £27 for the pair per match. There won't be many Premier League clubs you could get at that price, and not many other activities you could take little ones too for that either.

I'm in the same boat Trips, it's scarcity that will be the problem for many I guess. When the stadium does get redeveloped I can't see prices going much above where they are now unless we are in Europe.

Yeah, he comes across as a right cock. Can't wait to find a reason to have a pop at the owners.

As I said, I can totally understand why the prices have gone up and I don't think our prices are bad compared to others. Not sure why I was having a little moan, really : icon_lol:

It's £100 less than Bournemouth was last season for the cheapest adult ticket. (And that's a price that's been frozen for three years.)

And Bournemouth is a shit stadium compared to ours as well

I've seen this a lot, it's a completely different demographic and not comparable. Albion, Stoke, Swansea and Burnley would be more comparable, same sort of country demographics whereas Brighton and Bournemouth are far more affluent places.

Albion:

But then they don't sell out anyway. There is no scarcity issue there because their attendances are pretty rubbish.

Oh, I agree. It was just a quick online check to see what another recently promoted club charges. Though do clubs adjust their prices based on the local demographic?

I see they've got the early bird nonsense going on as well.

If you're going to offer a discount scheme offer it to everyone before a certain date not just season ticket holders/ members. It's just rubbish.

Oh yes, the new Spurs (£800-2k) and Arsenal (£900-2.5K) season ticket prices compared to the Manchester clubs (Utd £530-£950, no city prices for 18/19) and the two Manchester clubs are in the Champions League and these two London clubs might not be.

Can you not abbrievate please. Are you 10.?

:stirthepot:

I never usually join this conversation as it's totally irrelevant to me, but I personally think an increase in price is justified when you consider the increase in the quality of the product. DW mentioned this earlier, we have had ST's prices frozen for a few seasons but now we face the prospect of our most exciting season ever, in the top flight. I would happily pay for a ST if I lived locally, it's a classic supply and demand scenario.

I would have paid £450 for this season just to watch Neves play and another £451 to watch Boly

Not that there's a cat in hell's chance of me getting one, but I would definitely get one with the buy-back option, even though I'd probably only be able to get to half the matches at best. I don't think they even needed to make that provision to sell out this year.

I'll be renewing. I was pleasantly surprised that my ST in the SBU is below £500. £24.95 per game to watch our most exciting team in decades managed by a Champions League manager pitting his wits against the world's best is pretty good value for money in my opinion.

And that's without factoring in new arrivals this summer!

No good blaming Fosun for the past. A regime sucking the life out of us whilst lining their own pockets. These guys mean business and so far have delivered on their promises and given us things that just 2 years ago we wouldn't have believed possible.

Will make the club more cash, they can re-sell the seat at full single match day price. Won't be doing it myself, if there's a game I can't make will be chucking it out on here.
