By January we’ll have a good idea whether another Great Escape is realistic. There’s a good chance we’ll be so far adrift of 17th place that the focus should shift to next season. If that’s the case if we get good offers for players who will leave in the summer anyway - they may even have relegation release clauses - doesn’t it make sense to sell them and start rebuilding?
