Wolves 3 - Sheff Utd 0 verdict thread

I've been on holiday in Scotland this week so I had a mad dash from Aviemore today to get to this one but well worth it. I think the warm weather training has done them good as this is the most convincing I have seen them in a little while today

Where's that dude that kept on about Sheff Utd, well dude where are you now......?

Good point Quirk...

Wilder has done a good job with them but they don't have loads of quality. Our dear friend Leon wasn't going to keep banging them in forever (except for us today...).

Thought that Sheff Utd were better than many we have played this season, but if we are on it then no one is living with us

We will only lose games by playing below our standard now - nothing to do with the opposition

Such quality in those first 2 goals, the movement on that 2nd was just so quick and crisp. Absolute control throughout and Sheff Utd barely threatened.

thought Evans acted like a real asshole against Costa in particular.

Fucking sexual stuff to watch. I'm really honoured to be watching the likes of Jota, Cav, Costa, Neves and Boly and the like play for Wolves because I honestly don't think I'll see a season like this again (unless Fosun go mental when we go up). Two goals of world class quality and it seems utterly bizarre that Matt Doherty was involved in one of them, and it's still difficult to believe what I'm seeing in comparison to two seasons ago. I fucking love you Fosun, I really, really fucking love you.

Similar to a few thought Sheff Utd played well, not often you can be 2-0 so early on and literally not blame anyone or feel disappointed. Two such quality goals, just made our performance all the better. Our shape off the ball is so impressive.

Words fail me really. We are easily the best team this level has seen in my memory. And it will only get better in the summer.

Agree with u 100%

Easy. This team is beyond anyone else in this league, it's so simple for us to score goals that belong in the top flight. This team plays great football and is beyond Championship level.

Good to meet Glasgowolf as well.

Alfred N’Diaye has doing more than enough to earn a contract at the end of the season.
Another shout out to the back three again gave away hardly anything again. The development of Coady as a player in just 12 months is just incredible. I thought Bennet would never get a look in at the start of the season but again if he was out due to injury etc I’d be disappointed.
The key thing is we do basics extremely well better than most.

What a performance that was. We were so in control of the game from the off and the wonder goal from Neves just cemented that. The second goal was equally as good but for differing reasons, it was an outstanding team goal. Everyone looked good and that included the subs, only thing to cap off a perfect performance would have been an Afobe goal.

We really are being spoiled this season and we have to make the most of it and the fans made it a great atmosphere. The Southbank was buzzing and if you were in there then there is no way you can't like the "Nuno had a dream" song now because it sounds amazing when the whole stand sings it.

It showed again today that when sides come to Molineux and don't park the bus then it's hard and nearly impossible for anyone in this league to stop us, the last 2 sides that have done so have both left with 3-0 losses.

This same weekend last year we lost 2-1 at Burton after a miserable 2nd half display, we then lost another 4 on the spin.

Random one... what was the song that had something about Villa in it. Just sounded all mumbled from the NB and “Villa” was the only word I think I could make out.

Something like mind the Gap Villa I think. Bit of a response to the WM Villa Wummery over the last 2 weeks.

Mind the gap, mind the gap Aston Villa,
Mind the gap, mind the gap i say
Mind the gap, mind the gap Aston Villa
It's getting bigger every fucking day

Were you just singing “sing hosanna” afterwards...

Evans looked a petulant spoilt kid all afternoon, thats what happens when the teacher finds you smoking behind the bike sheds and gives you a weeks detention.
