I think there is a bit in people looking for things when it comes to Doherty. His crossing isn't great but on Saturday he only put in 1 "proper" cross and we almost scored. Whilst Cav and Costa were on the pitch he never once looked for the cross but a pass and if there wasn't one on, he went back with the ball. That happened in the build up to the Neves goal, he got the ball out wide but no options back to Bennett and the move eventually led to Coady finding Cav on the other side.

He hasn't really been crossing the ball much all season. One or two a game. Which was why Forest was infuriating, he had to be close to a dozen attempts in 45 minutes and they were all shit (which isn't surprising, as he isn't very good at it).

I think we got our minds a bit scrambled in that game. Obviously we worked on a lot of things in Marbella and we're back to normal now.

Right being in my early fifties and growing up in the seventies and witnessing some of the greatest football ever Brazil, Holland etc. etc. can I just draw your attention to the skill at 1:21 !!

This has gone a bit far off topic I think! Can we go back to the Sheffield Utd verdicts please? (Both of those clips are ace but maybe move them to another thread?)

They weren't rubbish, we were just better.
As their manager said they came to play, as is their way, but they couldn't lay a glove on us.

I wish all our opponents would come to play, but they won't, because they're scared of losing to us. So they will 'park the bus' and we will have to break them down and get that important opening goal.
