Wolves 2-4 Leeds: Verdict Thread

If anyone wants the reffing inconsistency to piss them off even more, take a gander at the "foul" for Southampton's equalizing penalty.

Clearly the verdicts are going to be dominated by talk of the officials and understandably so. But let's be perfectly honest, we are bad. Leeds are a terrible team and they scored 3 (not going to include the 4th). Any team finishing below Leeds should go down. I think we will finish below them.

We look weak physically but more importantly mentally. We lose our heads in every game, we panic when we need calmness, we huff and puff when we need control and composure. We have too many players who are not good enough despite spending £150m. We concede poor goals and we rarely look like scoring ourselves. In fact we rarely even create worthwhile chances. This was a result of a relegation bound team.

And for all the frustration with Adama, and justifiably so, who else in that team today even threatened to create a chance? No-one. Pathetic. Utterly, utterly pathetic.

2 weeks off now, they need to get off to Malaga* and get it out their system. Re-organise, and Lop can learn the lessons of starting the right XI too please. The refereeing doesn't need commenting on, we made enough mistakes without every decision going against us as well

*will also keep Glasgow entertained for a bit as well, maybe lift our spirits too

Feels like about the 3rd time I'm saying Jonny is washed and should not be playing anymore. Absolutely rancid performance. Far from the only one but the most obvious.

Really astonishing that after all this time and money we had to resort to 'give it to Adama' - complete nonsense that we're in that position.

Lopetegui needs to stop fucking up his starting lineups. Game was there to take to them yet same old 4-3-3 with Raul isolated and the other 2 barely interacting with him. It just doesn't fucking work.

If we don't get a result at Forest it will make taking Neves off early these last couple of games look incredibly stupid.

The terrible thing is we created A LOT of chances. That wasn't the issue today. Woeful finishing and a lack of control in key moments of the game were.

This.

Julen got his tactics right. You can't tactic your way out of some of the absolutely amateur defending we leave on the pitch.

We would, but they wouldn't. And that's a problem.

Fair comment! But, in reality, anyone from 12th and below could now go down: and we've still got to play four of them. And Chelsea who aren't any great shakes.

I also think Lopetegui has a lot to answer for. Too many times he has to make substitutions to firefight the mistakes he has made. Not good enough from him, not good enough from the players.

I don't think he's firefighting mistakes necessarily, he's just very horses-for-courses with his starting eleven - and it's not as if we weren't creating chances, we just weren't finishing them, which is absolutely the story of the season and not Julen's fault.

I think he makes drastic substitutions too early, Lage and Nuno used to leave it too late (or not at all) but Lop is far more proactive, too proactive for my taste. We were in the game at half time, 2 subs was too much. The Collins sub last week, it's just sometimes.....too much.

Neto coming off was correct. He wasn't in the game. You can at least understand his thinking with Dawson as he had been booked and "got away" with the foul on Bamford.

A few weeks ago I would've agreed but they look like they are starting to get their act together from the little I've seen
