Wolves 2-3 West Brom: Verdict Thread

Semedo doesn’t play defense well at all never in right position and Silva will never make it in EPL he doesn’t have the game knowledge or the skill to make it

At our best we play with real swagger and masses of self belief. But right now we're at the opposite end of the scale. The players (and manager) seem to expect us to lose. So as soon as we go behind (and we always do), heads drop and we're resigned to it.

I think someone needs to be brought in, a new player, a fresh face, just someone to change things. The whole place looks like it's struggling with belief and confidence - bringing in someone who can offer some confidence would make a huge difference
Thing is, we've only recently had lots of new faces. There's no way we buy a starting XI quality player now, for numerous reasons

I will say Nuno is being heavily let down by the decision making of some of his senior players currently. Coady today, Moutihno at BHA.
Are we having any luck no but again I’m not having that as an excuse.
No clean sheet in 12 league games is a symptom of a constant chop and change of system and players.
Seems like a case of bad result, so let’s change, another bad result, let’s change again.

I'm a bit worried about the Coady substitution, we don't want that bond between him and Nuno weakening, it's so important to us
I sort of get it. Boly and Saiss are clearly a greater threat off set pieces (we had loads today too), wasn't like he was playing well either and it's really stupid on the penalty, whether Robinson is looking for it or not, just don't even go near him.

Odd to see though!

The other thing is that in these moments, it’s hard to see a way out quite often. I remember when we lost five out of six including those defeats to Huddersfield and Cardiff and then we just found the right formula and sorted ourselves out. One win in 9 is so painful though

I genuinely think today was unlucky - they got all of the soft decisions, we got nothing.

the fragility and lack of leadership and inspiration is really worrying though.

The thing is, even if we’d drawn 2-2, or cutrone got an equaliser with that chance I’d be feeling the same way!

Those decisions can have huge implications too. I think lady luck has deserted us this season. Every poor decision we make seems to be punished and we get nothing at the other end.

We've conceded 8 penalties this season and been awarded 2.

bit insulting to Coady to suggest he's too petulant to handle being subbed off
No, that wasn't my angle on it. Just seemed symbolic and worrying imo. Maybe I read too much into it

C&P from Spiers twitter as I kept forgetting to look for the post match comments and only just saw them

Nuno: "Very bad, conceding goals that makes our task very hard. We knew (long throws and set pieces), we didn't defend well."

Why was Coady taken off? "Options. We decided to go with Rayan, simple decision."

"Our chances required better finishes."

Nuno: "We are all disappointed, we are aware it's a bad moment. We have to react to it and work hard for the next one.

"The (formation) change we think is better for us, we feel it suits the players we have. It's time to analyse and see the next step forward."

Nuno: "I'm disappointed and frustrated with the way we played and the result.

"The game was about the beginning of the second half, we started very poorly.

"Two penalties for WB and one throw, we required better defending and didn't do it."

Nuno: "The solution is here. We must find better solutions and decisions."

Don't think there are going to be signings guys. Always a chance I suppose but I would not get hopes up.

There were 9 full internationals in the first XI - we are not lacking for quality, though unfortunately not playing like it at the moment

Tbh when Fabio dives as badly as he did today I can't imagine it helps our cause
