Sulked past the BW. Probably heard my moaning at his poor decision making on a number of occasions!

Today confirmed that Cunha is our one hope of staying up whilst Southampton have no hope.

Sa - nothing to do apart from play injured once a half
Semedo - left exposed in the first half when they had a lot of decent possession down his side
RAN - some great touches and dribbling offset by an equal amount of poor decision making
Bueno - steady
Dawson - excellent
Lemina - ok but still prone to giving away possession in dangerous areas
Gomes - getting back to his best which is great news
Sarabia - great finish, thereafter quiet
Cunha - MOTM. Offers a threat against anyone. Enjoy him while you can as he'll be gone in the summer
Strand Larsen - practically no service but worked hard

Bellegard - great commitment with little quality

One moment in the first half summed us up. Semedo let a ball go out of play inside their half when he had plenty of time to control it. We had players forward and could easily have developed an attack. From the throw we lost the ball and never had controlled possession again until they scored and VAR saved us.

Ait-Nouri after being substituted sulked all the way back to the tunnel and straight down it as the final whistle went. He walked half the length of the Steve Bull, the whole of the North Bank and half the Billy Wright and didn’t once acknowledge the fans. It was odd.

He’s either had his head turned by the “interest” from Liverpool et al, or he thinks he’s better than he actually is.

Good player, flashes of brilliance but doesn’t do enough over 90 minutes for me - certainly not to warrant top four interest, anyway.

He’s either had his head turned by the “interest” from Liverpool et al, or he thinks he’s better than he actually is.

I think with better players around him he might not feel the need to overdo things so often. His ability to beat players on the turnover and create openings is excellent and I can see why big teams would be interested. I think with a better manager/coach he would improve massively.

I really don't care whether we were lucky with var, it's a complete cluster fuck every week in multiple games. Decisions even themselves out, like fuck they do, if so we need about another half dozen this season to catch up.

Legs swept out from underneath him is being very generous. Don’t have a problem with people being happy it goes our way for once.
As I said a lot who’ve viewed the incident from a neutral and objective standpoint think it’s harsh especially considering it’s not ruled out on field.

That was a real hard watch after the early goal and once their goal was disallowed they could still be playing now and Southampton wouldn’t score again. Not sure we would have beat any other side in the league today and i’m not convinced one bit that this will turn it around.

I couldn’t believe how deep we were in the first half, even when we won the ball we had a back 6 with Lemina on the centre halves toes. Better in the second half and we did enough but not sure again how much of that was because Southampton are one of the worst teams going forward i’ve seen in the Premier League.

Who knows where we would be without Cunha although according to Gary his off the ball work needs to be better, it does but surely GON needs to find a better way of making sure that we are set up to deal with that.

As i said i’m not convinced that the result will change anything and the fist pumps and the crowd asking for them at the end was embarrassing imo. Will be interesting to see how we perform at Fulham because i fully expect us to get beat easily but hopefully i’m wrong.

Had Bellegarde not done a Gazza 1996 near the end then that would have been a quality assist. Superb skill and an excellent cross.

Agreed, but two games running he's wasted a number of good openings when a simple pass would have kept the move going. It's frustrating seeing such a talented player doing this repeatedly.

Yeah, he was very very lax at points. I do think we completely muddle his role at the moment, sometimes works in our favour like the run for the first goal, like what is your LWB doing running inside your #10?! But at other times it's a mess.

It’s utterly delusional to suggest that today has turned our season around. Anyone with half a brain would see it’s nothing more a case of one team going down beating another.
I mean Palace were poor and Fulham easily beat them today but even still they looked more assured than us last week.
Hobbs and Shi will be happy because they can have a stress free 2 weeks and them thinking that they’re beginning to be vindicated.
