Wolves 1 Cardiff 3 -The verdict

I don't know why VLP can't finish in a Wolves shirt. If he could we probably take something from this game but he was still our best player, he was a constant threat on the ball and beat his time time and time again unfortunately him and Zyro didn't link up that well and there wasn't really anyone else getting up there as a threat in and around the box.

Doherty and Batth are a bomb scare when it comes to defending especially 1 on 1. Back off, back off, back off, show on to stronger foot. EEL not much better but doesn't look like any opposition player could just walk past him.

Coady not a right sided player but that wasn't the reason we were losing that was because our keeper is shit with shots from distance that are right at him and we backed off them constantly. Bringing Henry on only made us worse imo, he has nothing right now. He put one ball across the 6 yard box that many would say was a good ball but it wasn't as no one was there if he had looked up, if he cuts it back there were 4 or 5 there for once.

Zyro looked knackered and playing as many minutes as he has in the last week despite not playing for months doesn't look great but once again Jackett has reluctance to make subs. McDonald awful and is now pretty pointless as he doesn't play a forward pass, Edwards the better of the 2 says it all.

Changes need to be made and quick, we are desperate for a centre back to replace Batth right now and Martinez has to come back in. We also need a left back and a midfielder who can carry the ball from the middle of the park and find passes, something like Wallace looks like he could do having seen him in midweek but only once he adds more power to his game.......

Nathan Bryne might as well fook off on loan somewhere, over looked yet again this time for Coady, The centre of midfield is terrible so why not use Saville, couldn't get any worse then pairing Edwards with MacDonald, but yet both remain on the bench.

I have said it before but I think Ikeme needs his eyes testing. Batth has the turning circle of the QE2, Doherty just can't defend, EEL does not have a footballing mind, KMAC looks like he is running in treacle, RVLP couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo and we need another striker.Seen the goals all preventable. A bit tired of saying the same thing so often. I can only hope for 3 or 4 million worth of improvement in the next fortnight. OK we are likely to stay up but I don't want to tread water all season with this lot

The back four with Bath and Doherty is a complete disaster, Doherty allowing Noone to cut in from the right and shoot was basic defending.
Apart from backing off Bath distribution from the back is pub standard at times.

Wasn't Noone available at the start of the season.. I said then we should have a look at him.

Jest seen the goals. Thought Ikeme should've done better for the first and third goals. The defending for all three was appalling, Batth & Doherty for the 2nd & 3rd were just embarrassing.

+1 And maybe a bit f tracking back from some of our midfield players as well?

How we can play as dismally as we did in the 2nd half yet still only use two subs is a mystery. Too many players keep getting picked regardless. Given the only plan we have when in possession is to get it wide and see what happens I think the time has come to drop K Mac and try a pairing of Price and Coady in central midfield. They would work hard, provide far better cover for the central defence - and we desperately need that - and can play balls out wide just as capably as KM.

Batth and Doherty were woeful defensively, the latter did at least look good going forward in the first half.

At least Graham getting injured might see him still here in February, other than that not many bright spots!

We were linked with him in the summer and i'm pretty sure we were at some point last season as well. He's always had quality but i don't think many teams will give him the space we did today.

How about we place the Sir Jack statue at the edge of the technical box in front of our dugout? It might show a bit more motion than the guy currently stood there all game.

Full verdict to follow but Ikeme is absolutely wank. Dire goalkeeper.

Just love this season 13 points clear of the drop, 8 points from the play offs. Season is as good as over in reality I know a lot will say another good run will give us a chance.

You're right. Its why I want new faces. I need something to get me to may

The defense was shocking today especially Doherty and Batth I can not believe some fans were suggesting a year or two Batth was a potential England player in the making.

DB and EEL were bloody hopeless both got tore to pieces by a couple of nippy players who happen to be midfielders playing along the front line I thought McDonald was bad Van La Parra & Edwards played very well though working hard and Graham was terrific again the lad is pure quality.

It's the reason why we'll probably wait until the close season until using any of the Afobe money instead of paying over inflated prices on a campaign that's starting to look over already.

I'm hoping it's because we're getting rid of Jackett in the summer and we will need the money for the new manager to make signings. Of course it won't be but i can hope.

Thought Edwards intercepted / broke up play a lot which in turn allowed us to attack in the first half.
Defensively he was all over the place.
We should have had a few goals in the first half but either down to greed or dreadful final balls we did not take advantage.
99% of crosses today were abysmal, it doesnt even look like we practise freekicks or balls into the box....totally ineffective.
Did Doherty really pick the ball up mid play because Graham was injured? or did my eyes deceive me.

Wolves, Next time you do an half price offer could you open up the rest of the North Bank and not try and crowd everyone in the John Ireland!
That stand is an accident waiting to happen for me.
Very narrow gangways, seats that hit your knees when seated and the sheer crush underneath at half time just cant be safe in these days.
Cant wait till that eyesore is pulled down.
Also about the 8th time ive sat in that stand since 1980 and ive yet to see us win in it.

Much of my thoughts have already been expressed, but Batth ambling towards the ball, being beaten to it by a Cardiff player coming from behind him as if he thought there was only one team playing does my head in (& not once but at least 4 times).

VLP did OK but can't hit the barn let alone the door

Bright was just that when he came on & when he learns not to make the same runs as the other forward will be more useful.

Edwards tried & did some decent covering, but is not a central midfielder any more than Coady should play on the right.

The defence didn't exist really - for the rest of this season as I suspect we are not going up or down then get in a CB who can organise things, a left back who can defend & give those we have bought & ignored (i.e. Byrne & Wallace) a go for a few games & see where we are at the end of the season.

Well stop going in there then

HA..
JUst like to mix it up and try a different stand every now and again.
Anyway, i sat infront of possibly the angriest person in the ground today, thought nothing of f'in and Jeffin' every 30 seconds even
thought there was loads of kids around....utter imbecile.
Predictably and thankfully he didnt appear for the second half.

BEst moment of the match...someone singing to the the tune of "another brick in the wall"

"Hey Cardiff......leave those sheep alone!"
