Wolves 1-0 Reading: The Verdict

You tell us what Edwards offers then. I'm obviously too stupid to see it. Watching us for nearly 30 years doesn't qualify me to evaluate players.

Not sure it's hatred though is it? To say Edwards isn't good enough is clearly true (to me), but I'm sure he's a nice enough bloke.

I though Jordan Graham showed up well, especially as he was double and sometimes triple marked. The rest rNged from average to abysmal. Special mentions for EEL's first half performance and Coady and Edwards throughout.

The pattern of play was set from kick off when we passed it backwards and then punted it forward.

Horrible game, horrible performance.

I don't hate the players or the manager. I hate how this season is turning out and feel we are not reaching our full potential as a club.

You don't have to be a professional to see that results have been poor. If you don't want to hear other people's opinions why come on fan forum. If you want Kenny's professional opinion it's in the above linked interview. I think the fans have been generally very tolerant this season, Preston aside abusing Morgan. I think a lot of people just feel lied to and disillusioned with club as a whole at the moment, the dross served up on the field currently only proves a lot of people points and concerns raised.

Yes, but the a few of the same posters who thought we did have enough ambition and investment and St Steve Morgan couldn't do anything wrong, are some of the same posters who moan about players being played out of position, not having enough depth, players not good enough for this league, ect ect ect. Steve Morgan got off lightly for his complete lack of ambition.

I have been watching them for 47 years and I wouldn't dream of thinking I know better than a profesional league manager.
If you read the posts today, even before a ball was kicked, their was more negative slagging off of some of our players, than supporting the team.

Don't think they read forums mate (especially not 45mins before KO)...

I'd also cheer them on on the forum, but again I don't think they will hear... [emoji85][emoji85][emoji85][emoji85]

Yes, but when posters slag players week in week out and our last 5 managers have picked the same players, who do you believe, profesional league managers or posters on a football forum?
I of course agree with peoples right to express their opinions, but the hatred shown to a few of our players before they have kicked a ball, is taking it too far.

I don't have to believe anyone, i can make my own mind up and i agree with the majority that these players are not good enough. I've watched enough football in my time and i coach at a decent level but even if i didn't that doesn't i mean i don't know what i am talking about. It's not a case of oh KJ thinks Edwards is good so he must be i can see what he gives you and i can say that he's not good enough for where we want to be or should be. However he's a top pro and a nice bloke who runs around a lot and gives 100%, that makes a big difference in some people's minds even professionals.

Like i said earlier no hatred just fed up at the same old shit.

Mr Morgan has lot to answer for I agree with you there, both good and bad. His footballing decisions have been very questionable. Anyway people are entitled to their opinion and I like listening to how people feel about how things are going, when it comes to football fans we're all fickle, and going to Wolves at the moment is well torture.

We are all pissed off about what is happening. I am sure you would support them as would all the posters on here, even in the 2nd division( old 4th division). It is just that it looks like it has become fashionable to slag our players off, before a ball is kicked.

You haven't actually answered DWs 'question' about what Edwards offers the sides he's played in.

Today he was truly abysmal. Normally he's bad so that you notice him being bad. Today he was so bad you forgot he was playing as he didn't even run around and make a nuisance of himself

The vile hate towards our own players from some of our supporters, sickens me, even before a ball is kicked.
Steve Kindon, George Berry weren"t the best in the world, but we got behind them. Do you know why, it's because they wore the old gold Wolves shirt.

I have had the pleasure of watching Wolves in a Euopean final. We had a very good team then, and were probably only two players short of competing for the league title. I also followed Wolves home and away during the dark days when Sunday pub teams had more quality. But the one thing I always did was to get behind my team. And as THM says, it was because they wore the gold and black. Was it blind faith? Well yes maybe it was, but it never concerned me. I followed my team and supported them in all corners of the land. As I would do now if I was able to get to games.

Sadly, I find the negativity on here so typical of today's football fans. No we are not a particularly good team at the moment, and yes we were a little fortunate this evening. I get the impression that it does not matter what certain players do, they will be regarded as not good enough. And our head coach is slated for not picking the team that this forum demands.

Personally, I am delighted we won. I just find it disappointing that not all fans of our wonderful club think likewise.

Today I was very lucky to have the chance to go on the pitch before the game and that was my positive of today...apart from that everything about the club felt sub-championship standard. I must say, the one thing I strongly disagree with Deutsch on is Ethan Ebanks-Landell... I think, without him today we would've conceded. He was the stronger of the two centre halfs and possibly the whole back 4. Coady was way below what we need at this level, and despite a couple of break ups in play - so was Edwards. Graham and Henry give me some hope, and McDonald is a leader on that pitch (not sure why he isn't captain). 3 points is 3 points, however this club is going nowhere until it is sold. Never thought I'd be disappointed with a win.
