Job done. Decent performance and I'm glad we played 4-2-3-1. Also good to see Traore get a goal.

Bit of a waste playing MGW wide and keeping Joao on though. Cutrone could have come on 10 mins earlier too.

Very little to complain about though. Draw for next round is Monday night.

Great goal by adama, thought he looked sharp and him and semedo starting to link up well



Think once silva gets a goal from open play he will be a lot more comfortable. Don’t care how he scores it, he just needs that one to settle him down


Great to see dendonker back. Gets abit of stick on this forum and should score , however personally we look a better team when he plays

good to have Leander back in, I think he may well be key to making us more secure when we play a back four. Should do better as usual with his chance.

didn’t think Fabio was poor. Missed a sitter and a decent chance from the corner but he’s at least a threat which encourages me enough to know that with some work on his heading he will be dangerous. He picks up clever positions for when the team steals the ball too.

Cutrone and MGW barely got a kick but good for them to get some minutes on the pitch.

hopefully a boost for Traore who is gradually coming into some form. Semedo and him down the right is a very strong right hand side potentially

The most comfortable 1-0 win you'll ever see. Not a single shot on target from them and we never looked in any serious danger (albeit anything can happen off a set piece or whatever).

Thought there was some excellent football first half, against scant opposition it has to be said. No idea what their plan even was. Semedo and Neves particularly impressive.

We're still a work in progress but that was fine. Now can we not draw Manchester bloody United again please...

Neto was MoTM match for me despite Adama's goal - was a real live spark

Semedo had a better game than I have seen him have though Palace really didn't provide any problems

In the next round which is all that matters (& yes Cutrone rather than Silva - they can switch round with Pat starting & doing the majority of the game and Fabio comes on for the last 15 mins which is what we bought him to do & learn)

He’s clearly a talented player - just needs to keep concentrating, focus on the real basics, and work on not getting caught on the wrong side of the attacker.

Good performance, I wanted these players in this formation having more minutes together, so job done.

Palace were thoroughly unambitious, but we played well. Neves good (excellent first half), Semedo possibly best game for us, Adama played quite well a little more centrally and very pleased to see him score.

Good to see Pat on and putting himself about, would be happy to start him next couple of games at least and have Fabio come on for some concentrated minutes to continue his development. I'm not worried about the kid but it's just a big job filling Raul's shoes, he needs to share the spotlight a bit.

Very good win and performance for me. Dendonker made a big difference in midfield. We've missed him. Happy for Traore getting a goal. It will help him a lot. Cutrone has to start for me too as others have said. He has way more than Fabio right now. MGW where Joao plays for next time.

Another plus point and one I raised earlier. Cutrone came on and twice we tried the ball he wants down the side of defender. Never got it right for him but early signs we will try and play to his strength.
