Unless your Tredman and betting on five own goals per game. Good luck with that.
We are a mid table side in transition who don't create enough chances. We are, however capable of much more if we play to our strengths . we currently don't. See about 50 posts on the ditchwater thread.Newcastle didn't against us, did they. They didn't even have a proper shot that wasn't deflected until they scored in literally the last minute. xG is a nice tool at times, it's no definitive measure of anything though.
You tell me - are we are a really good (ie top 3/4/5) team who underperform consistently, which is what all your posts seem to indicate, or are we not a very good team who need a fair bit of work? There isn't an inbetween here. It's one or the other.
Good example when we did create chances and ticked it up and then let in a shocker. Its why you need to create and take chances. We do not create enough and what we do create we waste too often. You're right on one thing, you fucking well are hard work. It's you who's dredged up two threads today days after the game to say how wank we are.
I repeat. Its not about losing its how you lose. The worst goals for outside the bottom four and the worst xg outside the bottom four is evidence enough for me thanks. So if we're a midtable team then stop expecting we beat absolutely everybody, especially by bizarre criteria like "we beat Man City last season so we should do it again or we've gone backwards".
If you think we're a midtable team then surely you expect we win a fair bit and lose a fair bit.
So you'll be happy enough with a point against Southampton then, as they're better than us at the moment and in your eyes we aren't a good team. You chose to point ire my way. We are not as good as either of the last two seasons. We are creating fewer chances. We are scoring fewer goals. We are moving the ball slower. We are starting slower. We are setting up not to concede and are incapable of pulling back a deficit which was a strength before. We deserved nothing on Sunday as we barely laid a glove on them. We have not won a game when we conceded since spurs in early 2020. Rui saving a penalty is equalled by Kasper's worldly and the net result is zero points. We spent a lot of money in the window but don't look a better side.
I’m not really sure what the debate is, then.Tell you what, find one post from one person saying the first half was ok and then we can have that discussion.
What do you mean, you're not sure what it is?I’m not really sure what the debate is, then.

Jinky said:0.01 in the first half. I mean, if you’re suggesting anything other than it being awful, you need to go and get some fresh air.
Who the hell is commenting about the second half? We are in agreement that it was an even second half , although I will still bemoan shots on target. This whole debate is about how our slow starts and lack of attempts on target especially in the first half of games has cost us. Last year we were the best team in the league at getting something having come from behind. Since March we are now the worst I believe ( certainly it was mentioned in the commentary) and for the life of me I cannot understand why we start so cautiously , so often , looking to keep it at 0-0 looking to defend. In the days of shite refs and VAR, inviting pressure around your own box allows for decisions to be given against you like the Newcastle free kick and the Leicester first penalty. We were fortunate not to give one against palace too.It does not take a maths genius to show that if you are not creating chances , your XG is lower and yet you are conceding the first goal then you are unlikely to get back in the game. What do you mean, you're not sure what it is?
You literally made something up, as no-one said anything otherwise. Aye, we were shite first half. Lucky to get nil. Could have been 2-0 down very easily, even if the one decision was a joke.
You don't think we were ok second half? Given the relative strength of the two teams?
Because if not, I think that like Cyber, you have a very warped sense of how good Wolves actually are.
Yep, hence my earlier post saying I didn’t know what the debate was.State of this thread, seems to happen on here periodically, people with broadly the same views on a subject manage to fall out while agreeing with each other.
Almost like some are argumentative just for the sake of it.
If someone is on ignore on the new site then you can't even see that they've posted, so to me it looks like Deutsch had a meltdown last night, ranting at himselfState of this thread, seems to happen on here periodically, people with broadly the same views on a subject manage to fall out while agreeing with each other.
