Wolves 0-2 Crystal Palace: Verdict Thread

10 goals at home all season. 10! Only six to go, one of them being Man City so not that likely we'll even average 1 per game for the whole campaign.

We're not a fun team to watch.
And they'll put the prices up again for next summer, no doubt.

There were a lot of regulars missing around me yesterday who looked to have shifted their tickets on. The lads in front of me spent all game trying to get on their betting accounts.

Going to need a hell of a lot of spin to justify any season ticket price hike next season.

4th season in the novelty of just being in the PL has worn off and as much as we are higher in the league than at any point since I was at primary school - which I'm conscious of in the broader scheme of things that doesn't really translate on matchday when the product is dull. Most sides hit that buffer at about this point.

Similar to me too - surprised to see so many regulars missing.

That said I’ll be on of the regulars missing on Thursday and I’m not that bothered.

I'm really struggling to decide whether to go on Thursday. I want to see my mates. I'm less inclined to watch another 90 minutes of that shite.

I can't make it on Thursday due to Sydney's parent's evening and I'm not even bothered.

Pretty damning when you put it like that, isn’t it. You’d think there must be a way to be more creative with these players without going Leeds gung ho

It's sad to hear this level of apathy from you guys who go regularly.

It's weird that two seemingly contrasting managers like Nuno and Bruno both seem to have fallen into the trap of producing joy-free football in consecutive seasons

Didn't we have something like 70 shots on goal in the first 3 matches of the season. Yes I know we lost (even though the better team) but we haven't had that many attempts in the last 15 matches.

Quick word for the Palace dickhead fans. Shove your tinpot flares up your arse you raging fucking bellends.
are there no security checks nowadays ?? must be somewhat dangerous allowing flares into a stadium.

I would assume they're undetectable to the scanners being used. Therefore as there's no patdown any more its even easier to get them in.

Bruno is a 433 manager stuck with 523 personnel and has managed that by playing more of the latter to get points Go 433 for the rest of the season . Sure we will lose some but we are losing the now .At least it will be entertaining. We may even find a scoring streak
It makes me smile when people say "we should play x formation", "we should play y formation", "we should play the kids, we haven't got anything to lose", all whilst get their knickers in a right twist when we lose a game or two (or three), which shows that we DO actually have something to lose, the sanity of those who struggle to handle us losing a couple of games, and those same fans will give the manager a good kicking when he tries something different and it fails.

There is so much entitlement and pant wetting all over social media at the moment regarding Wolves, and don't get me wrong, i was far from happy with the performance yesterday (or against West Ham), it feels like we have a bit of a soft mentality that since we conceded the 2nd against Arsenal our confidence has capitulated . But ultimately we are an upper mid table team, who by their nature are inconsistent.

The 6 weeks after Christmas were great, and now they're not so great, it's tough, but lets not over-analyse, write off Bruno, or write off players who have largely been excellent this season (Coady, Kilman, Saiss).

*i'm not using you as an example of this, just that your post reminded me.

The performance was basically the same as the game at Selhurst Park. It just took them longer to score that day. We were just as shit going forward.

There is pant wetting because a lot of fans are happy if you win, but this has been on the cards all season. The 6 weeks after Christmas weren’t “great”, we were just the right side of some very marginal games. The last 3 haven’t even been marginal though.

As YW has said you can’t keep relying on your GK to bail you out and profligacy of opponents whilst still being very blunt up the top end relying on wonder strikes and GK/defensive errors.

As wilf says, he hasn’t tried anything different. Still no idea how we score a goal, some luck turning the other way and the CBs now not playing at elite levels. You could argue it should have been bloody obvious those 3 wouldn’t maintain the levels, each one of them has been slagged off at various points in their wolves career.

There's quite a bit of revisionism now, and you're not the first to do it (I think it was Del and Cyber guilty of it too), but there were some good to very good performances in that period. Lets not re-invent history because it suits the new narrative.

Man United, Sheff Utd, Southampton, Spurs were all varying degrees of good to very good.

Brentford & Leicester less good, but the mentality was positive.

(the mentality v West Ham and yesterday is my prime concern, the body language was off)
