...

Wrong thread, whoops.

They shouldn't even need to wait that long really.

They could start negotiating with other clubs as soon as there is interest in Afobe, get things in place so as soon as you've got the cash you push the button.

I was told this happened. Wolves agreed the fee with a club plus all the players contract details were agreed. He then moved to another club. Thats life.

Maybe better wages, more ambition and an owner who isn't trying to sell the club.

Or maybe not as the player may not have an agenda.

As an aside don't you find typing out the same $#@!e is $#@!ing boring?

What's the problem when the facts don't change. Disagree with the solution's by all means but don't ignore the underlying problem.THM assessment would strike a reasonable chord with many fans

I give up. Boilesen is looking to do infinitely better than us in his next club. THAT is why he isn't interested. It really isn't that hard to understand.

He wasn't ever interested. There are 3 parties, who could have leaked the deal, us (no), Ajax (why would they, they want him out and our offer was acceptable?), him/his agent. There's a forest full of sticks to beat the club about with at the moment, this lack of a deal really isn't one of them

But it's not, as Paddy and TT say. Are people really that self absorbed to think that players give a shit about Wolves, let alone players playing in a foreign league?

Was told earlier we are looking at Tony Watt of Charlton now, who is actually back in their team now having been set for a £2m move to Cardiff before there embargo. From what I hear though I don't think we want to pay £2m upfront for someone who's still fairly unproven but Charlton are asking at least that and maybe more now he's back in another new managers team.

If Boilsen and Williamson are the best we can come up with then it doesn't bode well. One last pay day for Williamson and we wouldn't even have a sniff of Boilsen but for his atrocious fitness record. His 'I'm not in England' twat (or whatever you call it) is really quite laughable. Get a couple of loans in and play the development squad. Get it back on the floor and lets have some fun for the rest of the season. Put John Sitton in charge ...

Fuck that. I'd rather subsidise lower ST's than gamble that type of money.

Boilesen is using us to smoke out another club. If no one else comes in this deal may yet be resurrected at the end of January or in the summer.
Ignoring any other arguments about money or being for sale or anything else, today we played 4 of our 5 fit defenders and our only fit striker. I believe we've only 3 wide players available as well.
We need someone in.

Fixtures coming up in February should see us up to 47/48 points and completely safe from relegation. Surely at that point we can give Byrne/Wallace an extended run in the team and see if they have what it takes at this level. Plus give some of the younger lads like Bright some extended game time. We are not, Mr Jackett, going to learn anything new about James Henry or Dave Edwards

Love to see Bryne get a chance now, Wallace if he returns. Hopefully Price will get to play against Bolton. But we shall see. Martinez didn't even make bench on Saturday any update on his injury?

He's certainly one of those 'do a job in the Championship' type players.

I'm not his biggest fan but I can see how he would be very effective at this level.

If we must insist on humping the ball forward so that one forward can compete against two centre halves with no support then he wouldn't be a bad fit. The issue is that you're never going to get a run of games out of him. He's nearly 28 now and he's been extremely injury prone for his entire career.

He's played a few games for Albion this season though hasn't he? Can't see them letting him go. Wages will be high too.

Hudds fans on DATM reckon they've had £1M accepted for van La Parra.
