BYOB by System of a Down on the radio on the way home from work, realized how much I miss Mesmerize and how much I miss their "new" material! Time to release another album me thinks!!!

Johnny Walker in conversation with Mark Knopfler interspersed with his music - really good set

Thread necromancy.

Happy day today as I picked up a copy of an album I loved as a student back in the very early 90s. Just had it on in the car and it still sounds fucking brilliant.

Skid Row - Slave to the Grind. Superb album.

Haven't heard that since I was a teenager!

The production was brilliant for its time. Still sounds amazing and Seb Bach's voice is IMMENSE. Some lovely guitar work too. I used to play the title track and Monkey Business in a band years and years ago. We learned Get the Fuck Out and Riot Act as well.

if you want to hear some poor production have a listen to early Diamond Head and Def Leppard it does sound like it was recorded in a garage (and probably was !)

Kill 'Em All isn't exactly a production masterclass. It is very raw. Works though.

New albums by Flotsam and Jetsam, Kreator and Sepultura. They all absolutely kill but I assume I fell asleep and woke up again in 1989.
