We're through to the group stages - Wolves 2-1 Torino verdict thread

Colin - always gives 110%

You could give 110% based on your previous performance or a 10% increase on your previous maximum. It's a phrase that I dont like either but swimming against the tide and all that.

Really enjoyed last night, but still cant understand the mentality of some of our fans. I guess it's been a while since I've sat that close to opposition fans, but what is it that makes people think they're invincible whilst sat in a crowd, some proper embarrassments last night thinking they were filming a Danny Dyer documentary.

You can't give more than your body can actually take but you can improve as you say.

You seem overly bothered by the bellends in the crowd. Booz said to me he couldn't work out why you'd pay your money to watch the other fans rather than the game and I can't either. Thankfully we'd never seen them before and are probably unlikely to at PL games.

It's unedifying for a man to keep at it when he knows he's been made to look a complete belmer.

Are you serious? A complete belmer for saying "110%". Fucking hell I dread to think what you make of some people

It was probably just because I had my lads with me. I'll never understand the mentality, just makes us look small time.

We are playing proper football, with unbelievable talented players on display, why not watch the damned thing.

Also I'll never understand turning up late, pissing off early at half time and being late back before leaving a good 10 minutes early. This was arguably a game played at our highest level in decades and you miss easily 25 minutes of it so you can have a bovril and get a head start on the traffic.

The police Van's roaming around Wolverhampton with the blues on reminded me of Benny Hill. They hadnt a clue where they were going.

They've only bloody gone and done the Italian job govenor, or whatever the actual line is they say to Noel Coward

How can they congratulate themselves on that shower of shit display.

Surely theres better ways of dealing with this, our town needs people to spend their money in it and we treat every visitor like a bastard

How come the Torino fans were seperated?...anything to do with certain political leanings and in-fighting at away matches?
Just asking, cos ive heard people say that they were fighting amongst themselves pre match.
This might be why the police took no chances.

Just the police being twats I think, others have said the police treat fans like its 1985, and it's the Black Country Derby

There were two dickheads just in front of us who didn’t watch a single fucking minute of the game and sat there sticking their fingers up and acting the big one to the Torino fans, they were about 15 tops. I would have loved to have dropped them right in the middle of them, see how fucking hard you are now you fucking wankers.

As for arriving late, there were people still turning up after 14 minutes last night, and of course as they were day trippers they couldn’t find their fucking seats. Over 20 minutes of the game gone before we could actually sit and watch it. Then of course it was only ten more minutes before people started fucking off back down well in advance of HT. Annoyed the living fuck out of me, last night was the worst I’ve seen by a mile.
One bloke behind us went down no fewer than 12 times during the game, unless his bladder is absolutely fucked I’ve got no idea why. He was a regular as well, saw him loads last season. Might as well just stay at home and watch it.

Admittedly I was a bit tetchy last night as I was absolutely fucking knackered, probably a good job as if I’d been more with it I’d have probably started gobbing off at them all.

Did a post last night, but on my phone & buggered up which button to press to post it - I'm the wrong generation to do this on that sort of implement!

However a highly enjoyable day out - Adama impressed & is learning, at one point in the second half he played a pass inside to Leander & immediately made a run into space behind the defender & was pointing to where he wanted the return when he would be clear, then when Leander merely passed it further across rather than back into that space you didn't need to be a psychologist to work out the level of frustration he showed. Last season he would have made the pass & then just stood there.

As to the policing - even extended to the Bluebrick. Was staying at Premier Inn & when I got there had a quick look - there were probably 25 Torino fans, but at least 10 or 12 from WMP. Don't think I've ever seen the police down there before.
