Welcome to Wolves Rui Patricio

We need to move his statue to Molineux I reckon:

That is in his hometown of Leiria of his save against Griezmann during Euro 2016.

Late to the party here but I've just seen some of the tweets to you. Wow! I'd understand it a bit if you said you weren't happy and Patricio isn't a good signing, but you've not said that. But some people think you have. :icon_lol:

I don't mind people disagreeing with me and I'm there to be shot at, it comes with the territory.

When people either can't or won't read though, my patience runs short.

With this signing and the contract rescisions in Sporting, I just noticed we have more players in the Portuguese national team than Sporting.

Doesn't count for much... Under contract Benfica has 2 in Serbia, 1 in Peru, 1 in Argentina, 1 in Portugal, 1 in Nigeria, 1 in Switzerland and 1 in Mexico. Of them all I would only like to be part of the squad next season one of the serbians and the portuguese...

I just messaged my Scouse Sister in law, and Celitic/Liverpool supporting Brother in law, and said....

"How Does It Feel Knowing Wolves have a Better Keeper than Liverpool have"
Funnily enough No response

Social media has very little middle ground. If you're not been positive you are being negative.

Very true - it's very much black or white. The hyperbole - both extremes - we saw throughout the season was crazy!

who is Juan de Dios Dias Crespo Pérez?

This guy?

Juan de Dios Crespo Pérez . Head of Sports Law Department. jddcrespo @ ruizcrespo.com. Partner of the firm, specialist in sports and EU and international law.

"I hope he is better than Courtois and Lloris"

Seriously, some twat has posted that on the dark side.

Words fail me.

He is the specialist hired by Sporting to take players who left to court.

At the end of the day the result of the proceedings doesn't affect ourselves. Patricio is ours. We have agreed to front up for compensation if Rui loses. And he won't.

He's got 70 International caps and been SL number one for over a decade, he's not exactly a secret. If he was elite quality he would have left them a long time ago for an elite team. It doesn't stop it from being a top signing for Wolves though.

But that is the point I was making. Some buffoon is moaning that he isn't a Courtois. Jesus Christ - get some fucking gratitude for the amazing signing this is*

*this is at the poster, not you Tony

While true, it can also be said that Sporting has stopped him going every now and then. Either through a contract renewal or straight up refusing the clubs' offers.

As happened with us, prior to his rescision.

So him vs the "best contract lawyer" for Patricio?

As someone with a degree in law, this case should prove to be very interesting. This sports lawyer will be joined by another top Portuguese firm.

This is turning into a derby between top lawyer firms. Should be interesting.
