Welcome to Wolves Marshall Munetsi

It’s the Emperor’s New Clothes, a bit like when Fabio first arrived.

I think he looks absolutely awful.

An athlete, possibly…….a footballer - not for me.
Depends on your expectations I suppose. We definitely over paid, probably by about double from first impressions but I think he has added some much needed physicality to our midfield. His goal scoring record for Reims doesn't look great if indeed that's what he was bought for but I'm hopeful he will be effective even though I agree his skillset seems limited.

Wonder what a goal might do for him. Settle him down or maybe he'll always be the kind of player that needs a huge number of chances to put one away

I think his technique is just clunky. He might go on a run where everything goes in for him but I can't see it. He just reminds me of Dave Edwards in that he seems to be constantly falling over.

I can’t work out how he hasn’t scored yet. The one this past weekend was an absolute howler. Yes, he got in the right position etc etc etc, but you’ve gotta stick that one away.

148 appearances and 21 goals for Reims. Not bad for a DM.

Well with Jean starting to come good I suppose it was only appropriate that my next problematic fave in the squad would immediately appear.

As the world turns…

I'm not sure Vitor sees him as a DM, more a AM or box to box? If he gets 3 or 4 goals over the remainder of the season I'll be delighted.
Jury is out currently but he's not been here long and chucked into a Premier league relegation scrap. We'll see, my main issue is the amount we paid but I guess that's what happens when you have a numpty in charge of transfers.

I mean we've all seen enough to know that he's absolutely shit at football, the only difference of opinion is whether or not his chaos and eagerness to get into goal scoring positions leads to him scoring the odd important goal, so there's a gnat's cock in the breadth of opinion.

Come on, bud, after 3 weeks? He hasn’t been nearly that bad.

My opinion hasn't changed from the first game he played. He'll be a cult figure who some will love for his effort and others will hate for his talent. I think he'll be a reasonable option for the last 20 minutes of games for nuisance value.

I think he's got the technique of a weeble to be honest.

He might end up being useful in certain scenarios obviously but I don't have much hope for him tbh. Again, would be happy to be proven wrong.

Snide joking aside, he’s definitely more Toti than Moutinho on the ball, but it doesn’t have to look pretty ay.

This won’t make him more popular, but he strikes me as absolutely perfect for circa-2012 Pulis-ball.

In the short term it’s likely to be effective, and it will hopefully become easy to forget we had a huge, critical short term issue that absolutely needed fixing days, let alone weeks, ago. However, an attacking lineup of Munetsi and JRB alongside Cunha is one of the most bizarre you’ll see. Speaks volumes for the lack of output from highly paid colleagues whose positions / job that role actually is. Also testament to the application and endeavour that’s required in the dire straits we’d managed to put ourselves in, and testament to the manager for spotting that and doing something about it.

Given the absolute shambles of preparations in recent pre-seasons it seems to be hoping against hope that I won’t have to watch it next season. Suspect we’ll still be having to cobble something crackers together, and suspect VP won’t tolerate that for too long.

He’s going to help us be better in both boxes I think. In between I wouldn’t expect much, other than hard work off the ball. Fine as a squad option. Seems over priced at what we paid and at his age but I don’t mind him

The sitter he missed yesterday when he somehow didn't even hit the target but put it wide was shocking.
Possibly his best use is to help close down games we are ahead?

So do we think this guy is a new Carlton Palmer or Marouanne Fellaini?
Thats not a criticism btw, they both had effective careers at the top level.
Effective cart horses maybe but useful squad players nonetheless.

Carlton Palmer was a much better player than he's given credit for. Very good indeed for Sheff Wed and Leeds.

I really admire the generosity on here.

I’d be curious to see how people would feel if the sitters he’s missed so far would have been costly - he’s lucky that he’s been involved in games where we’ve done well.

Dave Edwards had his limitations, but comparisons are miles off for me. And you can be patient all you like (see Fabio Silva) but the end result will be the same.

This guy lacks all the prerequisites of a premier league footballer and smacks, yet again, of panic and horrific scouting.

Don't think it's being generous or patient, he's been here 5 minutes. I'm not convinced by him but also not writing him off yet.
