Welcome to Wolves Leander Dendoncker

The Belgium international, who is at Molineux on loan for the season from Anderlecht ahead of a permanent £12million switch in the summer

I thought this wasn't the case?

It's not, they keep repeating it though. Doesn't really matter either way.

Google translate at its finest

Somebody asked him if he thought about leaving when he didn't play at all: "Ofcourse, that is one of the possibilities you have to consider when you're not playing. But the most important thing is to train hard, harder than all the players who do get playing time. So that I would be ready to play when they needed me. Or in the worst case, to be fully ready for a new team indeed."

I must admit, didn't know much about him when he signed, thought he had been bought in as a defender really to replace Bennet or maybe Coady but obviously Nuno knew all along what he wanted him to do and he waited until he thought he was ready. Appears to be able to defend, block and attack, a real box to box midfielder, I didn't know there were many left, lets hope he continues in this vein, maybe under Nuno and the boys even get better.

absolutely over the moon with this signing

wishing him the best in the coming season!

I agree in that I'd much rather see him in midfield, but I'd rather see him as a CB than Saiss. I'd also rather him be with wolves than anyone else!

I'm hopeful that he'll eventually be alongside Neves, either in games where Moutinho is out or when moutinho moves on, by which point we will hopefully have better defensive coverage. Though I'm not sure what the chances are of the backline being frequently tinkered with to make that happen.

who knew the answer re: midfielders was "all of the above" :)

glad to see he was moved out of defense, his skills are a bit wasted as a CB as I mentioned several times previously. some people gave me crap about ball-playing CB's not being a bad thing, but I think it's been made clear he offers more than merely being a defender with a good pass, which is what my point was to begin with.

He was worth the wait. The missing piece of the jigsaw (#thepolewithoutagoal) for this marvellous Wolves team
