Welcome to Wolves - Jeremy Helan

I can see a 3-5-2 on the cards, actually. Helan and Byrne are wing backs.

Would be inclined to go with the 1 - 1 - 8 formation that was used when modern football first evolved - at least it would confuse the fuck out of the opposition (and be about as useful as trying 3 - 5 - 2)

In the video on the facebook group Kenny says that naturally left side players are hard to come by. Maybe someone should have mentioned that to him when he sold Scott Golbourne.

I'm another that thinks we are going 352. Jackett spoke about him being a left side player today and he's desperate, desperate men make desperate decisions. It won't be Byrne at RWB though it'll be Doherty.
FWIW the Wednesday fan I spoke with today said that on his day he can be really good, but when he's bad he's terrible, but don't let him near left back.

Nothing would surprise me, these days. Perhaps he'll play in goal. Ikeme is due a break. Bloody amateurs!

If he plays Sat then will give him a chance - virtually everyone else we have is playing abysmally at the moment so he won't have to be that spectacular to stand out

The cynic in me thinks he was signed to try and soften any crowd reaction against a crap performance.
I mean, you cant have a go when theres a new fella on the pitch.

I must confess my ignorance. I know nothing at all about Helan, but I wish him well at Molineux.

We would need to bring in someone that the majority of fans know about.

The easy way to try and shut the fans up is to fill the starting 11 with kids. (That or stop playing like chumps for 90 minutes)

I tweeted a Wednesday fan I used to work with and he described him as fast, skillful and erratic, a good squad player or bench option.

Maybe it wasn't Kenny's decision to sell Scott Golbourne!

Welcome Jeremy. Sheffield Wednesday fan comments don't fill me with optimism, but we've signed fringe players in the past from rivals/teams in this division who have turned out to be steals. Let's see if he can do the business: he's still only 23.

We all know that Ken's version of 3-5-2 would in fact be 5-3-2.

Three immobile centre backs with the wing backs tucked in, and 3 defensive mids in front of them. Can't wait.

Congratulations on your first sensible post.

I'm really starting to get the hang of it aren't I? How does one create an article?

Why do we keep signing rubbish ? Will this Helan really be any better than Docherty, Byrne, or Golbourne ? Just like Wallace, Coady, and Rowe have been no better than Price. Or Holt any better than a youth team player.

As always we need quality, not quantity. Yes, we have to pray that they keep fit, but it's better than having a bunch of no hopers on the books.

We need a couple of really good players to be the spine of our team for a long time. Chelsea had Terry and Lampard, maybe we should try to sign them ? Better than the dross we currently sign.

Hmmmm

Not sure if entirely serious...

However, assuming you are, there is the small matter of both of them being on 200 grand a week plus.

Well, Peter Osgood and Micky Droy would be cheaper. But not as effective.

I guess the point I am making is that, ever since Kightly, which is a long time ago, our lower league signings have been shite.

Wednesday fans I have spoken to today have described Helen purely as a winger, said he looks dreadful when played elsewhere, also said he is rapid but with poor technique and will be good 1 in 10 games. Basically we have resigned Ojo from that description.
