Welcome to Wolves - Jeremy Helan

Then again players don't always replicate their form in another side - pretty sure that Brighton fans have a different opinion of VLP than most of us do

Lets see what he can do first - won't have to be that much to improve on other players recent performances

They weren't in a rush to sign VLP permanently. He's a flake ...

And?

What does that prove one way or another?

Wolves have admitted that the sale of Stearman was not for footballing reasons, after they had earlier said it was. Here Jackett says, we decided to take the money. Of course, wages and transfer fees have nothing to do with Jackett, but Moxey.
If you fill the position of a player who leaves with a better player, that is fine, but if you don't have a decent replacement, performances and results will take a turn for the worse.

That article is about Golbourne where does Stearman enter this??

Eh? Wolves haven't changed their stance on the sale of Stearman. (Whether it's KJ, Moxey or Thelwell)

Whether we agree with them doesn't change that they got a bid for him of £2m for him and decided to cash in as they believed EEL & Hause we ready and him staying would hold them back.

They have since said it was a decision they probably shouldn't have made but they don't regret cashing in to promote younger players.

Yes they have. They said it was for football reasons, nothing to do with money. By saying it was a decision they shouldn't have made, it means they messed up. They lied to us and took the money and thus weakened our team. Not for football reasons, but money. DB was injured and we have lacked experience. Our defence has been our major weakness this season. Our whole style of play has suffered as a consequence of our weak defense.
I believe you will find out in the future, that Morgan had already made his mind up to sell the club, before the sale of Stearman.
Golbourne has not been replaced by someone who is better. Like Jackett said, 'we took the money'. Meaning Moxey wanted to cash in, just like Stearman. Nothing to do with footballing reasons, just taking the money and not replacing the players with better players.
You end up with a rubbish squad and no cohesion, bad football and apathy at our football club.

I understand if you didn't know a Topic bar has a hazlenut in every bite, before you ate it. It is more worrying, when you don't realise there are hazlenuts in every bite after you have eaten it!

Hahaha

Too early to tell obviously but interested to hear what everyone's initial impressions of this kid were.

For me, kind of confirmed what I already knew about him. Big, powerful athlete with crazy feet who will balance out the side while JG is out injured but wont be particularly productive in terms of goals/assists. He dealt with Christie well who can be a handful on his day and added a bit of stability which allowed Doherty to get forward and have what was possibly his best game in a Wolves shirt.

As a short term option he will be good for us. Not a left back but a good left midfielder to have in front of someone like Doherty, if you know what I mean. He was quite erratic but might become less so with a run of games. I quite like him

With him, Iorfa and Byrne on the pitch there was a lot of crazy legged frantic play on show!

I thought he grew into the game and was really good in the second half. Lots to like there, and he definitely struck up a good partnership with Doherty, and that allowed Doherty to have probably his best game in a Wolves shirt that I can remember.

Looking forward to seeing how he does of the rest of the season, and I wouldn't be averse to picking him up on a permanent in the summer judging by his first performance.

Decent enough for us until the end of the season and will do his fair share of defending to help out whoever is at LB.

I imagine he'll give us a fair amount of frustration but will also have the occasional moment of magic.

Wednesday fans I have spoken to today have described Helen purely as a winger, said he looks dreadful when played elsewhere, also said he is rapid but with poor technique and will be good 1 in 10 games. Basically we have resigned Ojo from that description.

We've basically re-signed Sako (sans the last 6 months of his time here when he was phenomenal).

I'd describe him as enthusiastic. Which is the least you'd want from a player on his debut. He definitely grew in to the game. When he flicked it over the Derby lads head, nodded it down at full speed and played in Doherty - I mean, that's exactly what we want to see; someone with a bit of a pace who is direct and gives the side balance.

His set pieces will delight and frustrate in equal measure. One thing that did please me was when he hugged the touch line and the ball was played in to his feet - some of the one touch passes and flicks inside or back to Doherty were really nice.

I'm not totally convinced he will keep that level of performance up consistently, or whether he has the ability to improve technically - but as a short term option we've got to be happy with him.
