Welcome to Wolves André Trindade

Playing for a club that rarely dominates possession suits Cunha perfectly. I do wonder if like Neto he won’t look so impressive in a team that faces a low block more often than not. Andre will look great in any formation.
Cunha would look good in a team trying to unpick a low block too. It’s Neto who struggles more when there is no space to accelerate into.

To rank with Moutinho he needs to have a 20 year career towards the top end of European football, so good luck with that.
What a strange way to frame your response. I specifically said his current form, nothing about his career. Right now, he's playing the midfield position as well as they did at any point in their time at Wolves, and it could be argued as well as anyone currently playing midfield in the PL. To do it in a team that has been struggling makes it even more impressive. At this point in time. IMO.

Dire Wolf said Andre was our best player, he's not, it's Cunha. My two year old knows that
We've got 4 points out of the last 2 games without Cunha. How many points do you think we'd have got without Andre?

Some slightly OTT takes on him today imo.

Cunha is our best player comfortably and can change games on his own, as could Neves and Moutinho in their own way. Andre not there yet for me, although a very good player who will undoubtedly grow in influence
Agree with this. The sum total of individual reviews of our players in a draw at home to Everton, in some quarters - not here, would have you believe we are a champions league side. I think this is the dream outcome for the expectation managers in the ownership. It’s perfectly acceptable to enjoy Gomes and Andre without equating them with Neves and Moutinho. To do that is plainly a nonsense for me until they’re delivering the same results. Andre obviously has bags of potential, but let’s hope he delivers on it rather than spout rhubarb like he’s an equivalent to Moutinho already.

Delivering the same results is not a fair way of comparing them as the rest of the team Andre is in is several levels below those playing with Neves and Moutinho. Put the equivalent of Raul and Jota in front and Boly, Jonny and Saiss behind Andre and then it might be worthwhile.

Oh come on, we beat a team vying to be the worst in PL history and drew with 16th at home
Since the middle of January Everton have lost once and that was in the 4th round of the FA Cup. They've beaten Tottenham, Brighton, Leicester and Crystal Palace, with draws against Liverpool, Brentford, Man Utd and West Ham. It's a disservice to devalue that point against them by bracketing them with Southampton. They are demonstrably a better team than that and in that game Andre was head and shoulders above any other player on the pitch. It was a midfield performance as good as any Neves put in in the PL.

Sorry. Have I read that right? I mean, I was there, I’ve been watching football all my life, so I simply must have a massive blind spot. Andre was as good in that match as Neves ever was? Well knock me down with a feather.

It’s a bit like tuning in to the official Wolves podcast and discovering that what I’ve been watching this season is world leading football, when silly old me thought I’d be enduring week after week of utter shit, improving to the required passable mediocrity, which itself has taken a monumental managerial effort, to lift us above three absolute clown shows.

If people aren’t realistic about where we are at they’ll deserve the ‘shock’ they get next year.

Each to their own, but this is giddy bollocks to me
