Watford 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Whoever was on co-commentary on Sky coverage said that Lage had said that the one condition of him coming to Wolves, was that he could work with Neves and Traore for the whole of this season.

He also described Trincao's style as 'lazy' but quality, apart from his shooting.
Seemed to thing Wolves' 2nd goal was scored by someone called Hangley Shan...

He said 'lazy style' when others would have called it languid.

Way over the top to suggest Nuno's tactics held him for a couple of years.
Nuno plonked him in front of the defence for years. It was absolutely his tactics that held him back.

Thankfully Bruno has taken the chains off him and he looks a completely different player. Unfortunately, it probably means we’ll end up losing him to a CL side because of it, but we can’t begrudge him that move when it comes.

On a personal note, I’ll be more gutted to see him go (when it eventually happens) then any other player in recent history. Top professional and seems like a lovely bloke.

Not posting that shite!

Hwang the DJ is top bantz.

anything riffing off the smiths is an automatic downvote from me

don't understand the obsession brits have with them

it's not even a good play on words from the song! terrible all around.
Not me, I think they're fucking awful and fronted by one of the most dislikeable men on the planet.

The Smiths wrote some absolute fucking classics. Marr's guitar work was unreal and whatever you think of Neil some of his lyrics were genius. Mind you, you hated the Patrick Cutrone song so I know you've got no fucking taste.

Sounds like impeccable taste to me. That song wasn't even grammatically correct, made us sound like morons. We've had some bad songs but that's up there with the worst. He was shit aswell.
Did you think I was being serious?

I’ll forgive any players struggling to settle whilst moving counties during a once in a lifetime public health crisis to play in the toughest division in the game.
But what a gutless move to fuck off and play for Empoli after the new manager has publicly backed you. Magic? He’s a muppet.

Tony Gale - think the lazy comment was a compliment, as in effortless

Watched the full game back on Sky last night. Something that I picked up on but don't think was mentioned at the time - I think Bruno and the backroom staff have spoken to the players about being a bit more streetwise when seeing the game out. I'm not suggesting our lads weren't genuinely hurt, but in the last 10 minutes alone -

* Saiss went down for an age with his lower back
* Hwang did similar, going down with his lower back
* Raul took a shot from the halfway line when the whistle had gone well before

I'm not advocating our players getting booked, but how many times has that stuff happened against us? Completely killed any momentum Watford could get dead. About time we got a bit nastier/smarter.

The Saiss one was definitely genuine. King (I think) left an elbow in, was a bit naughty.

What a prick Danny Rose is as well. Face like a smacked arse, permanently.
