Well exactly - I don't know if Lambert could even get us up. It's a bloody tough ask and the last time he did anything of note was a while ago now.

Dim Sherwood would be on the same level as appointing Ince or Holloway for me.

It's slim pickings between the 3 of them.

I can't remember Pearson being much more than workrate merchant and Lambert basically just sent teams out to make up the numbers whilst at Villa, so whilst Sherwood is extremely limited with his rather simplistic idea of flooding the box as often as possible, that can do attitude still manages to put him above the other pair in my eyes.

I don't think any of them have it in them to really push Wolves forward a great deal but there's only one of them who I'd expect to provide any level of on the pitch entertainment.

We took on 13 players i think 8 or 9 were via Mr Mendez, and it seems three are pretty good.

He's a mega bucks man who's total knowledge of football is that there is loadsa money available , especially from clubs who think they have none, and from new owners, who equally know the premier league, is a honey pot, and will listen to cocks like me, in order to get their hands on it.

Someone has already quoted Mendez on this thread as being part of the managerial recruitment set up.

Rob Edwards is likely to remain in charge of Wolves for their home game on Saturday against Derby with the club relaxed about the current first team coach holding the fort for the second game in a row.

Wolves will embark on a second round of interviews from tomorrow onwards and with the bookies' favourite Paul Lambert in Germany till Thursday - taking in a match and catching up with his close contacts - there is no pressing need for a quick appointment.

Lambert is on a short-list of three, joined by Nigel Pearson and Dougie Freedman but Edwards is also in contention, with Wolves under-coach Scott Sellars as his assistant.

Contrary to many reports,Tim Sherwood is not in the frame - nor has he been approached or interviewed by Wolves. Nor are Roy Keane and Harry Redknapp.

Out of the Mendes player 1...just 1 was a bit of a mystery but the way to look at that - He is the type of player you sign during an emergency loan window, we don't have one of them so we signed him in the normal window on a loan deal. You are getting bent out of shape for the wrong reason right now. If we were sat here wondering what the fuck we had signed from the Mendes books then maybe you would have a point. Mendes is not responsible for Doherty, Batth, Coady, Edwards etc

If you can tell me why Silvio, Cavaleiro, Costa, Teixeira and Borthwick-Jackson are terrible signings and are directly responsible for us being in the bottom third of the league then away you go.

Mendes is a dick and I wouldn't want him involved in a direct way for any length of time, but he was asked to get us some decent players quickly - remember we only got the takeover through two weeks before the season started - and what he has given us has been by and large pretty decent.

The problem is legacy players, they aren't any good and they need replacing.
