Trump

William Barr - trumps hand-picked attorney general - finally decides that there is no evidence of fraud on a scale necessary to fix the election. Surprise, surprise, right wing media do not agree:

Trump is going to tweet for the next 4 or 8 years how this election was stolen from him. I hope Twitter fucks him off.

I genuinely think he's got the onset of senile dementia.
He keeps firing off tweets about how he won key states and how there was massive voter fraud with zero evidence.

There's a Republican election official in Georgia who has condemned Trump publicly after many officials have been receiving death threats:
Mr.President, we need you to step up and if you're going to take a position of leadership, show some!
"Death threats, physical threats, intimidation, it's too much, it's not right, they've lost the moral high ground to claim that it is.
You have the right to go to the courts. What you don't have the ability to do, and you need to step up and say this, is stop inspiring people to commit potential acts of violence.
"Someone's going to get hurt, someone's going to get shot, someone's going to get killed, and it's not right."
He added: "Be the bigger man here, and stop, step in, tell your supporters, don't be violent, don't intimidate. All that's wrong, it's un-American."

When he is finally out of office there will be a lot more republican politicians finally pluck up the courage to speak out against him. And to be fair to them, in the past four years it would have been potentially career ending to criticise him too much.
But they are not the problem. There are so many MAGA types who believe everything they have heard from trump, from Hannity and co, and from Q adherents. Convincing them that Biden legitimately won, that democrats are not devil worshiping pedophiles, and that we can all live together, is going to be a monumental task for years to come.

Every year there are lists of the worlds most influential people. It's time we acknowledge that Rupert Murdoch should have been top of the list every year for decades.

Drunk heresay, give the election to Trump immediately 🤣

It's nice that this thread has calmed down as it means Donald is running out of stupid ideas to try and get the results overturned.

Has just signed an executive order to ensure Americans get first dibs on the vaccine though doesn't have the authority to apparently before launching into another rant about stolen elections and predicting that the Trump administration will remain in office

No, but Texas is suing the swing states to have their EC votes rescinded. With my maths, that'd still leave Biden ahead.
What has that to do with fucking Texas? You want to moan about other states rock up at a national level.

Republican officials everywhere are being pressured by the MAGA mob. TX argument is that their votes were all legal but their value has been diminished by fraudulent voting in other states. The Attorney General who filed the complaint - Ken Paxton - has been awaiting trial on corruption charges for 5 years. Perhaps he thinks trump could pardon him?

He's just throwing one long strop. It's like my dog when he can't have chocolate.

Errr. Okay. Texas has a certain number of electors. Those votes have all gone to the republicans. Nothing that happens elsewhere diminishes or indeed increases the voting power of those Texas votes.

What an absolute nonsense of a law suit.

It's just to deflect from his personal problems, "sticking up for Trump", hoping for a pardon.
Don't the Electoral College start to confirm their votes from last night and so the piss poor legal "challenges" are now ending?

Trump says he will join the lawsuit. Some other leading republicans also support it.
The argument is that some states changed their election rules illegally, and this destroyed the integrity of the whole election. Of course there is some hypocrisy here - Texas also changed its rules in exactly the same way.
