We seem to play 3 in mdifeld with the furthest forward the most attacking. We just don't seem to have that player or have bought that player (Jacobs aside) this season. I'm on record as saying why but I can't fathom out as to why we have not shored up the flanks if KJ planned to go wide. Only having one left winger seems totally daft if that was the way he intended to play.

I don't understand the change form last season as it worked so well but there you go.

I've seen this with both his Millwall team and Swansea side (Trotter and Pratley) where he likes a runner high up the pitch to move onto balls slung in the box from wide areas and those runners do the dog work of chasing centre backs and holding midfielders rather than having any real footballing ability on the ball.

I personally think it's a poor system to be a success and very easy in the modern game to defend with the rise of the 'double pivot' in midfield. The odd thing is we didn't play this way in the division below and it was clearly a roaring success. So why change?

There's no need to be facetious, esp. when you're backing it up with mis-quotes.

No-one said it would be easy, but other clubs seem to have managed to find players who can hit the target a lot better than our players. We scored a shed load of goals last year and while I accept we are up against better defences and understand we may therefore score less goals, how come our accuracy is so bad? Whatever the reason, we need to put it right and if it means better players, so be it. If it means better coaches, then replace them.

If we can't score in this division, we won't score in a higher division, will we?

have to say though as much as I don't like seeing us miss out on players that could be good for us I do get just a little bit tired of hearing "why haven't WE signed him" each and every time someone signs for another club...personally I would like to see more than Afobe come in but nobody knows what goes on behind the scenes which makes all this all the more frustrating!

Second offense too. He was 100% certain Danny Graham was signing for us when Stale was here, but then Stale only went and got himself sacked which let Penk off the hook.
