Top 20 Wolves Goals: 2000s (1999/00-2008/09)

Top work @KiwiWolf61

Would it be wrong to add in SEB’s first goal at Charlton. It won’t beat his 2nd effort but a fine goal.

Sturridge hit a good one vs Sheffield United in about 2001. Could have been a Xmas fixture.

Derby Wolf has beaten you to it.

Sturridge's goal against Sheffield United was on Dec 29, 2001 - now added to the list.

I'll be doing a goals compilation for Deano in around 2-3 weeks time.

George Ndah scored a screamer at home to Bradford in what I would guess was about 2001. I think it was a fair way out. I remember saying "don't shoot George..." as he lined it up!

I'll be editing a goals compilation for SEB in the next day or 2 which I hope to have posted next week. I'm sure there'll be a few goals there to stir the memories.
Really looking forward to your SEB compilation mate.

Could be worse. You could have had said similar to before a certain shot against Derby..

I was half way through a Jinky style "don't shoot from there ffs" when that goal went in

I once saw Robbie Dennison beat Neville Southall from about 30 yards at Wembley.

All be it I was young and so probably remember it better than it was.

No doubt it makes my top ten, though.

Latest update - 60 goals now nominated.

The latest is another Alex Rae special - Coventry City 0-2 Wolves (Division 1 - 16/11/2002).

On a separate note I'll be releasing SEB's goals compilation video in 2 days time.

Does Alan Smith's own goal get a honourable feature? Dec, 2003.

*I actually wanted to nominate Nenad Milijas v Bolton but it's technically the next decade. Given that's the only year I had a season ticket, it's still the best goal I've seen in the flesh.

OK I'll give it one more week (still at 60) - nominations will close next Monday, December 2nd.

Also re the nominations video - if I include the replays etc it will run for 33 minutes or if I cut it just to the goal then it will run for 16 minutes. What would be the preferred option ?

Replays would be fine, I love killing 30 minutes watching Wolves stuff

Seconded. If it's GOOD Wolves stuff and half an hour of our very best goals from a decade would definitely come under good Wolves stuff.

Fuck it - can you add multiple camera angles for each goal and make it an hour please?

Top 20 Wolves Goals: 2000s just released.

No surprise that SEB's 2nd goal away at Charlton in March 2008 was the most popular goal.

As mentioned by Dan a few weeks ago, Mark Kennedy scored 14 goals for Wolves in 187 appearances - and 5 of them appear in the top 20. He didn't score many but boy he certainly had one of the sweetest shots in terms of timing that we'll ever see in a Wolves shirt.
