Its not really difficult picking up the odd ticket, and that really hasn't been an issue for the past 3 seasons - trying to get 3 together has been more challenging, although this has eased as the season has progressed. It was Brentford that I missed it by an hour and couldn't get 3 together, whilst Newcastle was pretty easy even a couple of days beforehandThe main reason is that bar the super members everyone else is in the same scrum on the same day as loyalty points appear meaningless. So if you want to be sure you get in the queue at 10am on that day and lo and behold you will get a ticket. Micro has had no problems for any game.
After the scrum the tickets left are the ridiculously priced or the poorly situated, and their isn’t a huge incentive for casual fans to go for it.
I have a cynical view that they'll have paid down some of the Fosun loans to net it off.Del and I were discussing it briefly the other day on another thread, it's also not going to play out well for them (assuming we remain more or less where we are now in the league, they'll get away with it if we're somehow doing way better and chasing Europe, doubt we will be though) when the accounts get published and it's right there in black and white, the club made money which we just didn't feel like spending and all the talk of FFP was nothing more than a bare faced lie.
Playing with fire with their approach on a lot of fronts. Lucky for them that we've ground out a few points recently.
Why wouldn't we? Our Chief Exec looked down the camera and told us it was so in the Summer. To not believe him would be to suggest he's a bullshitting prick, which clearly isn't the case...If he were then we'd need to challenge everything else he ever says. I mean he watches the U23 and womens games so he's a straight down the line kinda guy...right?Surely no one with any common sense is still buying the FFP argument for not spending?

He then told us at the end of the window, via that Spiers piece, that FFP was not a constraint to summer spending. It really does beggar belief. Why wouldn't we?
