Ticket Prices 2021-22

Also, you don't work in the environments he has; playing, leading age groups at 18/23s or being an academy manager by being some soft touch. Whether his skills/experiences lend to him being an appropriate technical director, I'm not sure of course.

I don't disagree with a lot of the points, but...
* Telling us only 18 months ago that they had grand plans to redevelop the ground, and then cancelling them, with no real logical explanation.
The bloody great pandemic that shut the doors for 18 months and made redeveloping the ground into a false economy is a fairly logical explanation IMO.

They cancelled plans for that well before the pandemic.

The visualisations were at the end of the 1st 7th place season, shown at the end of season dinner etc. Then 6 months or so later, that Russell chap was making al sorts of bullshit excuses at a fans parliament meeting as to why we weren't going ahead, but it was before the pandemic (my initial "18 months ago" was wrong, my time perception has been off of late)

From a club POV his main things so far have been a Kit deal that will make the club more money and tickets prices that will make the club money.
Obviously not party to the details, but I think they'll sell a lot less leisurewear. Adidas carries a cache that Castore doesn't if my son's reaction is typical

So at the end of the 18/19 season it was the 50,000 capacity plans, with the visualisations.

Then it was, we will revamp the existing stands, gradually

Then it was we'll have a temporary stand similar to the Graham Hughes Stand on the other side of the South Bank

Then it was, nothing....

The lack of development is strange. They’ve obviously put out a lot of bullshit on return on investment, interest rates etc.

But it surely just means they don’t want to put the money in?

Stadium expansion is free from FFP but the money it generates is included. Therefore making it easier for you to bridge the gap to the rest. It also NEEDS doing. So I don’t get it, my only logical conclusion is they’ve pulled the plug

If they already think people will pay £729 to sit in the Steve Bull then why would they be bothered about doing it up?

We are being run as self sufficient. Loans be them from Fosun or a bank wouldn’t work within that model.

or they are looking at sites other than Molineux.
Yeah i think that's possible, and forcing the prices up, talking up how difficult it is to get tickets will make that move away from Molineux more palatable to fans long term.

Fosun will want a casino, hotel, restaurants, an MK type development.

I have no issue with that as long as the facilities around the Stadium are 1 million times better than MK Dons.

If that does happen, interesting to see what happens with Molineux as that is on land we don't own and can only be used for Sport

Where is the closest site that large? Got to be getting close to the Staffs/Shrops border

They could do it on the existing area of Molineux but would need to buy the land back from Asda (shame their merger with Sainsburys was denied).
There is also a huge area where that massive retail development was going in the City before it went tits up (essentially from the Manders down to the ring road, in a nice twist we would then have Morgans Yoof Club as a neighbour. No idea of how you would plonk a 50k capacity stadium in a City but it would fit in nicely there but highly unlikely to happen.

You could probably fit something in any of West, East or Fowlers Park(s) and then when you've knocked Molineux down that land becomes the replacement park space.

Returning the grounds of the Molineux Estate, could even pop the lake back on the centre cirlce

Not sure if this still stands but there was a covenant in the lease from the council that the grounds underneath Molineux were always used for sporting purposes.

Not sure if that was removed when Steve Morgan renegotiated the lease to 999 years (from 125) and Google isn't answering except to say SM wanted it removing.

It remains. One of the reasons we pay pence per year to lease the land. Also there to stop dodgy owners coming in, selling the land and walking off into the sunset

There were some rumblings last year that the club wanted help from the Council for the redevelopment but that is getting nowhere. If we are expecting financial help from them, then it ain't going to happen.

It wouldn't surprise me if the senior staff at Wolves are on some sort of performance related bonus, they increase revenue by 10 million (fairly insignificant in football terms) they get % on top of their salaries.

Even if no bonus it's something they could use to justify a pay rise/promotion/new job somewhere else. Would explain this rampant greed we are seeing.

Those type of contracts certainly exist in hedge fund companies.
