Things that make you SAD thread.

I know they are busy and overstretched i just find it horrific that even when questioned about symptoms, the people you rely on to get things right can get it so wrong.

Met him today and was so upsetting to see various wires, tubes and monitors connected to him, all that could have prevented.

All the best mate, wishing the little guy all the best for a speedy recovery

Ah, sorry to hear this @pagey

My wife had preeclampsia when our twins were born, they were tiny. Flipping massive 16 year olds now.

All the best @pagey. Went through something similar with my lad way back when and all worked out fine. Best wishes.

@pagey really sorry to hear your news but I hope everything works out. Best wishes to you and your family, mate

Great to hear he's doing well!

There is a thing the NHS brought in called Martha's rule where you can escalate things if you think something is being missed / ignored.

Hopefully it'll never be needed but it's here if you do

Yeah the doctor told my daughter about it yesterday, but grandsons under a different team now anyway in nicu, he's asked for a dull investigation.

Sorting out my workshop, in a cupboard I have a decent amplifier, with a good (Marantz) CD player.
Both going in the bin.
Above them I have 2 shelves around 15 feet long packed with cd's I'm probably never gonna play again.
In my attic I have about 3 Tesco boxes full of CDs ...
All very sad.
What will I ever do if Spotify goes tits up?

I’ve followed https://bsky.app/profile/timcyclesthecoast.bsky.social across various forms of social media for many years. Never met him but his cycling journeys are epic.

Realised I’d not seen anything from him for a while so just searched him out, turns out he took his own life back in January. He’d always been open with his mental health struggles but I had no idea this had happened. Such sad news.
