There goes Julen!

Nigel Farage?
You couldn’t keep livestock in the boot of a Kia Sportage for the length of time it takes to complete the Brexit red tape mate, it would be cruel. Then again, it’s only a Farage I guess, not a chicken.

Good read, that. Haven't looked at f365 for ages

Shi and Co just can't get out of their own way. With their track record it baffles me that anyone is giving them the benefit of a doubt, no matter how much of a whiner Lopetegui may look going to media quickly.

With all that pissing about waiting for him to become available, playing chicken with out league position, to then play enough games that this stuff is surfacing? Frustrating.

"Running back last season" thinking things stand still is what got Nuno sacked, Lage installed and nearly got us relegated this season.

If they're in FFP problems then they only have themselves to blame overpaying whomever Mendes wants them too.

Yes you do. It makes ad click revenue.
Shocking I know, but outside of Wolverhampton there won't be a whole lot of people clicking on Wolves drama op-eds.

When Percy is writing about it, I'm inclined to believe that there's more than a grain of truth in this. If this leads to an exodus of anybody in the squad with a whiff of value and the triumphant return of one dimensional 532 nunoball, it's going to feel like a massive step backwards

We know there is truth in it as Lopetegui has said it himself.

From that and what Wolves gave the local press we have had numerous articles and tweets ranging from opinions on it, opinions pretending to be facts and a lot of misunderstanding on issues (mainly FFP).

The volume of reporting has really just made it confusing and frustrating

Without wishing to get dragged into this, apart from the formation, the football is very similar to how it was under Nuno in the final season, dull and pragmatic. That's not a criticism, but let's not pretend the last six months have been a thing of footballing beauty, they haven't. 352 Nuno (it wasn't 532) which we played pretty much exclusively the Championship season and the first one in the PL was way more exciting

Wolves will continue talks with manager Julen Lopetegui this week in the hope of finding a resolution over their plans for the summer.
Lopetegui has been frustrated with the club's inability to commit funds to the next transfer market without selling players first - most likely involving at least one of their key assets such as Ruben Neves.
Lopetegui has recently admitted that the situation around Financial Fair Play at the club was not what he expected before he joined from Sevilla earlier this season - and it has led to reports that the Spaniard is considering his future already.

It is understood a number of meetings have already taken place between Lopetegui and the Wolves hierarchy and those will continue before and after their final game of the season against Arsenal on Sunday.
Both sides hope a solution can be found and a solid plan to improve Wolves' squad put in place after they struggled with the threat of relegation before Bruno Lage was sacked and Lopetegui replaced him last October.
But there is no changing Wolves' Financial Fair Play commitments in line with Premier League rules so it is a situation Lopetegui will have to adjust to if he is to continue at the helm at Molineux.
The club want to strengthen with a new spine in the team - with a striker, midfielder and centre-back all on the cards - while they also braced for significant interest in Portugal star Ruben Neves.
Sky Sports News reported last week that the club are interested in Coventry's Viktor Gyokeres amid doubts over the futures of Raul Jimenez and Diego Costa.
Adama Troare and Joao Mourinho are both set to leave on free transfers at the end of the their contracts so the club are probably also going to need to sign another winger, while they have unfinished business at right-back after being in for Aaron Wan-Bissaka last January.

Considering Lopetegui didn’t join us in October Sky can get to fuck with their lazy bullshit guesswork.

So another story created out of little info.

The stories on the meetings are made out to be something epic as well. No other manager ever has held numerous talks with Chairman at the end of a season over transfer budget.

Wasn't the Championship season almost exclusively 343? Neves and Saiss in midfield, wide forwards either side of Bonatini. Then that carried on into the first Premier League season with Moutinho replacing Saiss and Jimenez replacing Bonatini?

Yes my mistake 343 for the Championship and first half of the first PL season, 352 for the second half and first half of the second

Nothing wrong with sitting deep and countering in a direct way. It was entertaining and we were a threat.

Pushing higher, being more methodical and pressing is the complete opposite. But we largely aren’t a threat and it isn’t entertaining. I wouldn’t say putting peak Raul in the team (which is what we say we are missing) would suddenly make it as entertaining either.
