Kovacic won’t get anywhere near the number of goals Gundogan has for City. Really not sure where he fits into the City way of playing unless they’re getting rid of Phillips and he’s the new bench warmer.

I’ve never really known what Kovacic is. Jack of all trades master of none.

Carries the ball well but his attacking output is poor and wouldn’t say he has standout defensive qualities. Wouldn’t say his passing range is anything special either.

He's a midfield equivalent of Akanji. Loads of flaws in his game but he's very good at breaking the lines and that's top of the list for Pep.

Sounds like B Traore

Lingard released by Forest. Another one our galaxy brain fans decided was a great bit of business by another club last year, why aren't we in for him FFS.

Pep obviously sees a role for him and I suspect that will involve adding something to his game because the Kovacic I’ve seen at Chelsea is a neat and tidy player but a long way from playing a key role in a City team where every regular starter brings something a bit more than that to the team.

Don’t panic, we can sign him up this summer and announce him as part of a double signing with Doherty who currently has a lot of supporters over on the Mix.

What do you think Gundogan is good at?

A midfielder who has very good use of the ball and contributes with goals.
I would say Kovacic is better on the ball than Gundogan and he finds the same spaces.

Kovacic clearly doesn't have the same goals but is more creative. Could be a Haaland feeding assist machine.

Presume he will join Benzema in Saudi.

Looks like Nuno will have Benzema next season as he has now confirmed he is leaving Madrid.

I think I read forest are releasing / selling Dennis, he seemed decent at Watford so not sure what's happened at forest. I haven't seen enough of him to really comment, just found it a little surprising

Wanted to get rid of him in January but couldn't.

Fall out of being on their 3rd DoF type in charge of transfers and generally signing players the manager wasn't asked about

Saw him a couple of times at Forest and it looked like Cooper was putting him at LW which… seemed a miscasting.

He looks useful to me but IIRC opinion of him here is generally low.

He looked alright in patches at Watford but has been red raw awful for Forest. Was particularly dreadful at Molineux.

Butland joining Rangers on a free.

Should be a good move for him.
