Incidentally, when I first typed "dyed in the wool" I'd typed "died in the wall" and it genuinely took me 5 seconds to think about what it was I was saying 😂

There’s a morbid Great Wall joke in here somewhere…

"Glam and big energy" sounds like she's never more that 30 seconds away from being really annoying

Kovacic to City… as a replacement for Gundogan if not too expensive is not a terrible idea I guess

I wouldn't say they're anything like the same kind of player. Would be like us replacing Neves with Ward-Prowse.

Never really been sure what to make of Kovacic. Really good footballer but I've almost lost count of the number of times I've watched him and the game kind of passes him by.

Maybe, he won't do the same thing though.

Kovacic and Rodri as a pair doesn't seem a good fit.

I know Chelsea have been shit but Kovacic has had a particularly bad season

He's been so poorly used. He should be getting forward and linking play but he's not really had a role under Lampard.

I think it's a good move for him and City.

Mount to Utd sounds close. Quite ironic that he’d be perfect for a Poch team you’d have thought

He's a bit like Milner was in his Newcastle/Villa days, he does everything to a pretty decent standard but you'd rarely walk away thinking he was the best player on the park.

United do need something there, Eriksen isn't a long term answer, McTominay and Fred are shite.

Agreed on the last part, I just don’t think Mount is it. I don’t think he’s the answer to anything to be honest, one of the most overrated players about at the moment. Like you say a 6/10 all the time, a bit like Neves.

I don't think Mount is over rated, all I ever see is people saying he's shit.
Yeah, agree there.

I'd say Ward-Prowse is overrated, as in reality he's a weak midfielder who runs like an old woman. Smashing highlight reel but I wouldn't want him here for half of what someone will end up paying.

I like Mount, he's had a poor season without doubt but I think he's generally been pretty useful for Chelsea for the most part before that. A change of scenery might do him the world of good.

Be interesting to see where he'd line up for United if it happens, don't think he's a genuine central midfielder at the minute. Think he looked best for Chelsea playing somewhere between a #10 and an inside forward when they've played a front three but Fernandes is the man that gets to the bulk of the freedom at Old Trafford and the wide players have to be a bit more disciplined as a result.

Harsh on old women tbh. My Nanny moves faster and she's been dead for 10 years!
