Van Aanholt to palace for £14m. Fucking hell

Crazy money for a left back who can't defend.

Him and Schlupp down that side for Palace now, that's some brain trust. A good job there are stands at either end of the pitch so they know when to stop running in a straight line.

Am I right thinking it's strange to buy them both? Very much the same players for me, even if Schlupp over the past few years has moved a bit further forward.

They could've had ours for less than half of that. Mind you we're about to buy a right back that can't defend as well for the set.

I quite like van aanholt, but should be playing like Alonso at Chelsea... Not that good at defending though.. The deal I don't understand at all is Schlupp.. All pace, no end product, not in att or def.. Crazy deal

Kin ell. A midfielder who does literally nothing.

He must have one hell of an agent and Villa must be laughing their asses off right now. Hourihane, Bree, Bjarnasson and Lansbury for Westwood and half a Gestede. Barmy trading.

Villa have had a stunning window once they swap Ayew for Taylor +£5m to go with the rest of their business

Neil Taylor has been absolutely woeful for Swansea for a while now. May just need a fresh start somewhere new, but I'm not convinced that's a great deal.

Ayew is awful and I like Taylor. Been frozen out at Swansea really. Good deal for Villa.

Frozen out for a reason! Ayew isn't great though, agreed. Not sure where he fits in for Swansea with Llorente in decent form, Siggy needing to be played central and the arrival of Narsingh on the right.

I seem to remember Taylor being decent for Wales in the Euros.

Narsingh wide left, Llorente through the middle, Ayew wide right, Siggy supporting, at a guess.

Unlike the fifty million they have spent in the last six months. The 12 million on McCormack looks an ACE deal
I said this window. Essentially swapping Gestede and Ayew for Taylor, Haurihane, Lansbury, Bree and Bjarnason is extremely good business. Looks like they are going to sign Hogan today as well.
