Although there is a current puzzling world shortage of quality centre halves. The bona fide quality around - Chiellini, Thiago Silva, Varane, Ramos, Benatia, Kompany, Terry - aren't moving anyway.

Chielllini's contract is up at the end of this season so it'll be interesting to see if any of the big guns swoop for him. Juve are a terrific domestic team, but they're not at the level of Europe's elite so maybe he'll fancy a switch to target European glory.

Not for me, he has such little heart and appetite for the game. The desire to get to the ball or create space has long deserted him, talented but now a journeyman pro going the way of Jermaine Pennant.
