I'm a Dad!!!

Beatrice Mary Machin was delivered by c-section at 18:12 on 1-8-12 (freaky huh!). Three weeks early, weighing in at a tiny 5lb 7oz. She's perfect. Mum and baby are doing well and I still can't quite believe it!

Cheers guys, it was quite the experience and almost the opposite of what we had imagined. We were hoping for a natural water birth with as little intervention as possible. But we ended up with induced contractions for 6 hours, the first examination revealing the baby was in breach and c-section was required. Emily was so brilliant though, properly scared but coped amazingly. I'm super proud of both of them today!
