The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

Only been a grandpa myself for eight months and Leeds shoots off straight to the next generation. Many heartfelt congratulations Phil. I’m delighted for you and yours.

Thanks Pad, but my 1st great grandson is actually my 5th great grandchild (the eldest of those is 6 years old)!

been trying to lose some weight. just cut out most of the poor quality food I was eating, and walking regularly, as I only cycle in to work occasionally now with wfh. Caught a photo of myself last summer, and though "uh-oh..."

it's all very unscientific, but have so far dropped 2 belt notches. For the first time, caught myself in a mirror and suspected a bit had gone, but at the weekend an attractive lady friend suggested I was looking trim...

Grim, Warren, she said grim….

Coming out of Covid isolation, most definitely happy about that.

Not being able to leave the house at all was bloody tough. Felt very intensive but offset by knowing the end-date. Makes you think how difficult it must’ve been for those unable to get out at all during that long, long lockdown. How they stayed sane I don’t know.

Was just desperate to get out today and feel a sense of space and look at the big sky. I wasn’t the only one:D4B5136A-92A0-4078-AF93-5BC385E9B9F6.jpeg

That is some excellent ninja sheep your dog is having to cope with :)
Ha, she’s a hardwired sheepdog and nothing’s getting past her. The levels of concentration are awesome.

Amazing that bond we build with our pets. She sits beside me in my van and gets to go all over and head out across random fields and swim in rivers. Doesn’t know how lucky she is. Funnily enough coming out of Covid isolation I wasn’t bothered about going to the pub, a shop, a restaurant etc, just wanted to get out with her.

All she wants is to be walked and played with now and again. If only the missus was content with the same 😳😳

Nature has seen fit to bless me with a lightning storm just about every day for the last week, right around the time I’m unwinding from work with a joint.

Lightning storms are just the coolest shit, and it makes me a little sad that you guys don’t get many.

Disclaimer: obviously the safety of people in the path of a storm precludes my enjoyment of them.

Mate, you’re allowed to take pleasure from things which kills people - you’re American, it’s pretty much part of the job description.

Love a lightning storm, used to see come amazing sites sat on my veranda in Zambia looking out over the river.

I know you're quite the opposite, but this has some serious 1930s colonial vibes :D

I lived on the ‘masters compound’ too 😬. Teachers houses provided by the school for all teachers (not just the neo-colonialists :) ) - fantastic really, will dig out a photo one day.
