The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

Coming to the end of our week in Dorset (was meant to be here this time last year). What a brilliant county Dorset is. Staying just outside of Bere Regis and visiting some great places like Lyme Regis, Corfe Castle, Weymouth and even popped down to Sandbanks to egg Harry Redknapps house only to discover he anticipated my visit and sold up and left the area.
Visited Dorset last Summer doing lockdown and loved it. Can't see why anyone would want to live on Sandbanks far too busy and a constant queue of traffic outside your house for the ferry.

Stunning out this morning:

Images like that still make me go a bit weak at the knees. Decades since I moved away as a kid and I bloody love the city of Cambridge, but I’ll never get used to the surrounding nothingness of the fens and crave a walk or a cycle ride through somewhere as beautiful as that. Sometimes you have to just stop and take a look around and appreciated what you’ve got. Not always easy with the chaos of life going on around you, but those are great pictures for sure.

It’s a cracking view, my current favourite route. Only downside is you need to get up there first.

Picked a slightly different, and much worse, route today. Nettle stings still hurting.

It would solve your nettle problem if you ran in denim flares, plus it would up your exercise regime exponentially

I’d need a denim jacket, mask and gloves before running through that again.

Mrs D was released from hospital yesterday teatime and is in a much better place.
Pain reduced and still has a course of antibiotics to take but the infection that caused the problem post surgery is well on the wain. Great to have her home and able to smile

remember walking through kinver edge a couple of summers ago. sheltered under a tree whilst there was a short but heavy shower. Was just stood there, quietly smoking, and a doe walked out of the undergrowth, and was stood right next to me.
I was so surprised at being so close I pretty much froze. The doe looked at me for a while, remained calm, and after a bit wandered off.
It was an amazing moment!

managed to replace the lock on a uPVC door.
2 wins here. First, thought I was gonna have to replace the door, so saved £££. But equally, I did it. And I am useless with any kinda diy stuff.

Not a great photo - they move around too quickly. Hummingbird in our garden. Wife is infatuated and could watch them all day long
How exotic, All I could offer is pigeons shagging, it's like pigeon porn in our garden at times
