The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

Not at all. Lidl is awesome. Well, it's no Aldi, but it's great for cheap imitation produce.

My Dad was a loud voice in preventing The Chestnut Tree being knocked down for housing back in the 90s though.

Spring has Sprung. The smell of cut grass, the sound of Red Winged Blackbirds, the sight of returning Robins making their nest above my front door, scrubbing Canadian Geese shit from off the decking as they too return, body parts can finally be bared to the welcoming sun, and to see ' Chip' again and know that he made it through the long Winter .

i'm with machin (in more ways than 1!)

Finchfield rocks. Broadway is definitely compton. (All my hip-hop loving friends love driving through compton...)

Sweeping generalisation time, & apols in advance langers but most people from stourbridge tend to be really stuck up snobbish arseholes. I know that doesn't apply to all, but when I worked in halesowen, brierley hill, & dudley, it was how it appeared to me.

Harrumph. Pendeford is far superior in every way, of course*

*I am aware this is bollocks

Yeah, that is rather sweeping!!

Part of the reason why my parents decided to move to Stourbridge was because they found it so friendly (though I suppose that was just the region as a whole). I guess it depends where you go and who you're with because I love it there and find the locals really friendly.

Having said that I stay well away from the town centre, especially at night.

Actually I would agree with this too. I was never posh enough for Finchfield :(

Stay away from the top end of town and camp in the Duke William all night and there are never any problems. And the beer is....magnificent.

Oh yes. I was in there the other night after the Huddersfield game - it's fabulous. The latest range of Craddocks beers are really tasty indeed. Brilliant pub - and extremely friendly.

After a few crap weeks and getting rid of my radio ties and losing my job. Things are starting to look up a bit for me with the fact I have been invited to stay with a friend in the U.S.A for a couple of weeks to chill and well relax. The good news is she has internet so I can still access the forum.
