The Summer 2024 Transfer Thread.

I reckon he'll go back to Porto. They've been playing Galeno at LB this season but they've just sold him to Saudi for €50M

Alex Telles now available on a free. You know, I actually wouldn't put it past Jeff. He loves a flick back in his contacts book from 2017.

Too late now though, looks like his contract was terminated after the transfer window in England closed.

What time today does the Saudi window close? Podence hasn't actually joined Al Shabab yet and no news on Jose Sa either apart from GO saying he expects him back after his Portugal duty (means nowt)

Not a good thing, just means Shi will go back to not sanctioning replacements until the original player is sold again

If we're not in the bottom three in January then we aren't spending shit anyway.

He'll go eventually.

He’s great but there must be a reason he’s still not got a club. Injured?

He's properly broken, hasn't even managed 15 league games in 4 of the last 5 seasons. And at 33 he isn't getting any fitter.

Ability wise it wouldn't even be a question.

Fairs wasn’t aware of his injury record. Maybe a pay as you play deal, but doubt they exist anymore or an injury prone player at 33 would take one

They've never really existed tbh

He will be, but what's more relevant is how Sa is. If he has the arse on, this weekend would suggest there's a good chance that's the case, then for how long?

Possibly.

Although he may not have been involved because they were protecting him for the move?
