Johnstone on the bench for Palace tonight.

"Wolves have acted on their interest by sending an offer of £250,000 plus add-ons for Sutherland. St Mirren are said to have immediately rebuffed Wanderers’ approach as they hope to keep hold of one of their highest rated prospects."

Fucking £250k!! 😂 We're such miserly cunts.

"Although predominantly a wide midfielder, Sutherland can also play in either full-back position, so he could offer great versatility for any potential suitor. The 18-year-old has made just four senior appearances for St Mirren but recently enjoyed a successful loan at Scottish League One side Alloa Athletic.

Sutherland, gaining his first regular experience of senior competitive action, scored two goals and made six assists in 18 matches for Alloa. The teenager will be looking to further his progression this season."

Another one for the LB list.... 🙄

Whilst Sa can be incredibly frustrating at times overall he’s not the weakest link in the team. Replacing him with Johnstone makes no sense other than it frees up a homegrown spot, hardly a reason to spend £10m on a downgrade.

Was going to say this isn't really a Wolves signing is it. Profile reads like when they signed Kilman or someone else you expect to potentially never see. It seems like dev team signing.

Surely if you’ve seen something in him that makes you think he could make it in the PL you back your judgement to more than £250,000.

£250k is a lot of money when buying a yoof from St Mirren.

It will be a little bit higher we have now agreed and a decent sell on %

The funds allocated could be a positive indication that we’ve sold Silva, though a break from the norm that we’ve reinvested the lot.

It's a huge sum for a kid who's going to help us avoid relegation to League 1...

We're currently £63m in profit for this window so far.

We'll make a decent profit on Sa vs Johnstone when he goes to Saudi Arabia too. Take off £500k for Sutherland and £5m for the young French CB, and £10m for Johnstone and that still gives us around £47.5m profit.

Where's the money gone Fosun? We shouldn't be in trouble with FFP/PSR after the 23/24 season player sales. Maybe the rumours about the club not injecting the £30m owners allowance per season are true after all.

I don't know where to start with this other than your premise might be right but your maths are miles out.

I always thought the rule was clubs were allowed to lose £5m per season, unless the owners were covering the losses, in which case clubs could lose £35m per season.

I'm certain we're in the former camp.

Recent signings pointing the way for us having quite a youthful side in the Championship next season with another hundred million plus having been deposited in the Bank of Fosun at the end of this season.
