The Summer 2018 Transfer Thread

Thanks, is that the Blog that writes in the style of Ray Winstone?

Looking through the Summer 2017 thread... God, I was panicking about us not getting a "top striker". :uhoh2:

Zinchenko is the new Locadia, and hopefully the fabled wing back is the new N'Diaye.

So unless something happens in the next 10 minutes, I think we can safely say most of these "ITK", "marquee signing" posters - and I include Tim Nash in that, don't actually know much (if anything) at all and are being fed gossip to post for extra likes and publicity.

I'll be honest, it seems a little silly to feel deflated about the end of a window when you look at the players we HAVE signed, but I still think we are 1, possibly 2 short of having the perfect squad balance.

I think it's ridiculous to feel deflated about this transfer window to be perfectly honest.

Fair comment

But what depth of squad and what quality we have eh?

Thats a real international pedigree with world class players or near to world class players in it. I can feel the envious looks from the Albion Blues and Villa.

I think today would have had an entirely different complexion had Zinchenko played ball. I could very easily imagine that we had some other irons in the fire that we had to drop in favour of trying to get another wing back sorted instead... or it all could have been rubbish. Who can say?

We've got another couple of hours to get any paperwork sorted as long as some deal is done by 5- remember that we didn't even know we were interested in N'Diaye until well after the deadline last summer.

Yeah, news will trickle through for a while after 5pm.

Palace haven't announced Jordan Ayew yet for instance, although that could be through shame at signing such a rubbish player.

Last year I got it wrong with regard to a striker, this year I'm willing to accept what Nuno et al does.....
I'm delighted with the transfer window
