Mina sounds great but we'd be spending £27m on potential. He had a few decent games at the World Cup but has barely kicked a ball for Barca.

Don't get me wrong I'd like him, but not at that hefty price. After Jeff's words about being careful with their spending I think the club would probably agree too.

At least if you drop that sort of money on Mawson you know he's proven in this league already and would fit the way the team plays. Homegrown too

Yep can't argue there sir. We have, however, ramped it up a notch with patricio moutinho and to some extent castro! There may well be more to come.

Pepe is a massive prick, I'd rather we not sign him because of that alone. He'll turn 36 this season and I have no idea how good he has been at Besiktas so can't say whether he would be worth a buy, but to pay the quoted ~7m Euro fee for a player you are getting 2 seasons out of at the very most would with no re-sale value at all be a waste. Was average at the World Cup also.
