The Rugby Thread

It was meant as a joke it's called a sense of humour.
Totally agree with the point you made.

No worries JD, that's the trouble with the internet sometimes you don't pick up when somebody is joking,

along with it being a long "emotional" day, its a bad mixture on the humour radar!

Scotland were a truly piss poor team. England and Wales both suffered for not battering them.

Scotland have really gone backwards in the professional era and I cant see how they can halt it, whilst Ireland and England have expanded into none-traditional rugby areas to increase their potential playing pool, Scotland who always punched above their weight regarding numbers have gone the other way, no professional rugby in their traditional heartland around the border area is slowly killing them.

Northampton Saints have said that George North will not play against Clermont this weekend following another concussion that North suffered last weekend. And it transpires that North is now seeking advice from a neurosurgeon. One can only wish him well, and hope he is back playing as soon as he is given the go ahead.

Terribly sad news concerning Keighley Cougars' Danny Jones. Words fail me.

Terrible news. He went to play the game he loved and died while doing so. And he had five month old twins, such an awful tragedy.

Really sad news. He had 5-month old twins. I can't imagine what his family will go through and thoughts are with them. I'm sure the RFL look after its own.

Manu Tuilagi out of the World Cup for disciplinary reasons after being found guilty of assaulting two female PCs.

Should never be picked again. Decent player but just always a bad news story around the corner with him.

He certainly needs to stop being an idiot, but I feel he should be given another chance if he's willing to reform. He's only 23 so there is time.

Yes there is.

However, the bunny ears incident was a young man misjudging something that he thought would be funny. Forgivable. Jumping off the ferry in Auckland was stupid in the extreme, not to mention dangerous. Pushing it. Assaulting female Police officers. Third strike.

Mike Ford says that Sam Burgess has been playing Flanker (no.6) for the past month and in his opinion he is ready for England, even though he may be short of some of the technicalities.

Will be interesting to see if he's named in the practice squad for the prep. tests, named tomorrow I think.
