The Rugby Thread

Shit refereeing at the end. Sad way to bring it to and end.

Extraordinary day of rugby - so many decisive incidents in all 3 games.

Congrats to Ireland, but this was pure theatre today

What a finish, best Championship in years, possibly ever!!!

Fair play to France and England, that was one of the greatest games of rugby ever

from 12.30 to now it was brilliant. I loved today's rugby. So much fun.

One of the best days of sport I've witnessed. Absolutely superb.

Superb stuff from England at least we battered a proper side.

Saw Wales last night were 13/2 to win the six nations, think that is at least worth a few quid. I can see them racking up a big score in Rome 40-50pts win, especially now Parisse and the two Italian centres are out. If they did pressure would be on the other two to win by over 20pts.

Ireland wont hammer Scotland, there style of play does not allow for cutting loose and the Scots haven't really been hammered by anyone so far despite losing all the games. Depend then on which France will turn up at Twickenham and I cant see them rolling over to lose by 20 pts and allowing England to win the championship.

(Of course if it pisses down in Rome my theory will go out the window)

Well that sounded all very logical and sensible on friday, how was I to know the day was to go batshit mental and all logic go out the window. I cant think of a better day watching rugby.

Fair fucks to Wales for laying down the challenge and to England coming so close and producing one of the best matches ever. The last two years have shown there is nothing between the top 3 teams and there were a number of times today when it could have fallen England or Wales's way rather then Ireland's and all three will be decent contenders in the WC.

To many brilliant moments to list.

Funniest moment of the day (well I can laugh about it now) was the RTE commentry team descending into an epiletic fit of hysteria when France decided to run the ball from their own goal line after the 80 minutes were up!!!

You want to stop sucking on that lemon as you are coming across fairly bitter there.

Scotland if anything were worse last week, if England hadn't butchered 14 of their 17 line breaks then today would have been a formality for them collecting the title.

You cant complain about the two weakest countries performance when you had the two of them at home and couldn't maximise on it.

It was meant as a joke it's called a sense of humour.
Totally agree with the point you made.

Lets just all agree, whether we are English, Welsh, Irish or Scottish that that was a stunning six nations. Loved every second of it.

Batshit mental last day - just shows what can happen when there are 3 teams (not playing each other so a mere win will not be enough) can do.

Brilliant

Wales beat a proper side in Ireland, oh and also beat this proper side England defeated. If England want to worry about why and wherefore, I would suggest looking at Dublin, rather than how Italy or Scotland did today.

England lost it when they failed to thrash Scotland, not today.

Scotland were a truly piss poor team. England and Wales both suffered for not battering them.

As I said it was joke taken out of context, didn't realise I had to be such straight faced.
