The Royals

Papers are full of Prince Harry arriving at court to defend his privacy, for which he is a major campaigner. This is the same pronce harry who has accepted £100million from netflix to discuss private issues, as well as releasing a book covering a load of private stuff (though mainly about other people).
You understand the difference between releasing personal details on your own terms rather than taken from you?

(I'm no defender of Harry or his wife)

Selling his story on his terms is somewhat different to having his phone hacked or being papped though, no?

hey, I am no defender of the daily mail, but harry does seem to want it both ways?

Not even sure what point you're making here.

Anyone who voluntarily puts themselves in the public eye is fair game to having their bins rifled through? You asked for it mate, we own you now.

Crazy.

Not really.

He isn't a fan of the media making up shit about him or his family or being stalked or press paying people to make up stuff and be classed as "sources"
Don't forget he spent his younger years watching the Press do the same to his Mum (before they then made her a Saint)

Left the Royal Family and has decided to control the narrative on his families life. That's fair game.

Extra bonus points if he ends getting a huge fine for the DM and double bonus points if Piers Morgan is fucked over as well.

The case also involves other super private people such as Elton John (also in Court today)

These are the allegations

The hiring of private investigators to secretly place listening devices inside people's cars and homes

• The commissioning of individuals to surreptitiously listen into and record people's live, private telephone calls while they were taking place

• The payment of police officials, with corrupt links to private investigators, for inside, sensitive information

• The impersonation of individuals to obtain medical information from private hospitals, clinics, and treatment centres by deception

• The accessing of bank accounts, credit histories and financial transactions through illicit means and manipulation

On what level are they acceptable? Do you reach a certain level of being famous and the above is fine?

No problem with the media chasing him but if it's all made up or dodgy such as secret listening devices etc, then the media get what's coming to em and should be heavily sanctioned.
Once Harry has proved illegal dealings from the media he should just drop out of public life.
Personally I have no interest in him or other royals, only ever come across it accidently.

As he no longer gets his Royal "wage" he has to earn the $$ somehow. Only way he is doing that is via media stuff, whether books, Netflix shows or the like

Not his fault the Mail and Co seem to think we all give a shit about him and his wife. I think he would prefer it if they didn't splash his mug on the their front pages for no reason

His missus is a big time actress isn't she? I'm sure he could do summat fairly innocuous on American TV and they'd throw money at him.

Well she kind of was. Not a massive amount of hits until Suits.
Be surprised if she returns to that field. Will probably do documentaries on issues they both feel strongly about.

Hope they don't try to do some reality shite though.

Sometimes both things are true. The way celebrities including the Royal Family have been treated for decades by our gutter press is a disgrace and he and anyone else involved deserve recompence as has been happening over the last 10 years. There has equally been more than a hint of racism in the way they speak about Meghan.

Equally the way he and his wife parade their victimhood, with demonstrable untruths across numerous platforms, whilst ironically pleading for privacy is distasteful and hypercritical.

Funniest thing about the trial,
Daily mail is a big supporter of getting rid of the human rights act, because the eu forced us to be in it.
Daily mail using the human rights act to stop the journalists in this case being named, because it comprises their right to privacy, unlike the phone hacking, and others things in this trial doesn’t, to the celebrities.

Most of the people watching and enjoy this kind of thing will probably see it as a 'fun' part of the experience, good luck to em. Those not interested (like me) won't bother, it's a choice thing.
