The R.I.P. Thread

Micro is an absolutely massive NBA fan. He's heartbroken.

Did you tell him that Kobe is a fucking rapist piece of shit and that we're better off now?

R.I.P. Gianni and the rest. But I shed no tears for that man.

Alan, that's harsh man! You may have strong feelings and know more than I do but its a bit soon.

Kobe Bryant raped a 19 year old and then bullied her into silence. The media slurpfest over Bryant right now is sick to me.

I'm sorry, I know I get worked up over this topic. But Bryant in particular infuriates me.

I don't think he's going to do that Alan

Orange County baseball coach, his wife and one of his daughters we the other three passengers.

The race to get this news out first, with incorrect information, is disgusting. Whatever happened to accurate news reporting?

RIP to one of the all time NBA greats and of course, his daughter and everyone else on board. Which is now being reported as 7 others.

BBC topped that competition by featuring footage of LeBron James instead of Bryant.

Apologies for the extent of my reaction yesterday.

Ultimately, I was not a fan of the man, but still should recognize he did have SOME positive impact on many others.

Just been reading about it - horrible case. Nothing wrong with being angry about rape.

Always a good listen when I caught just a minute and always brightened up a journey home.

His wit and humour belied his age, and whilst 96 is a mighty fine number, its somehow a shock.

Got to raise his bat to all four corners of the ground and then some. Hell of an innings.

Probably the last of the golden Hollywood age superstars, takes three points of my dead pool league score though :(

Normally this thread is depressing. No surprise there. So in an attempt to lighten the mood, a LOT of musicians have left us. What would be the line up that you would would want to see entering the upstairs (or indeed downstairs!) battle of the bands? One per band that have multiple musicians that have left us.

I would have fucking loved to have seen the following

John Bonham (drums)
Malcolm Young (guitars)
Phil Lynott (bass)
Randy Rhoads (lead)
Ronnie Van Zant (vocals)*

*thought about Janis Joplin there. Plus Hendrix instead of Rhoads naturally
