They do get very annoyed. The TV News coverage is getting so delusional it will be at North Korea levels in no time.I think Aussie football fans find it very irksome when the rest of the football world doesn’t take them seriously.
Has he said he'd never seen them play?I've said it before but it is a joke that Richards is on there. You are asking him to comment on players/matches/teams that he hasn't seen play bar a few you tube clips. I love the concept of the show but stopped going out of my way to watch it due to his involvement in it.
You'd be surprised. A population with a significant Greek, Italian, English, Serbian and Croatian heritage means it's pretty popular. It’s very much a minority sport so most Australians won’t give a stuff. It’s miles behind Cricket, Rugby League and Aussie Rules. A little bit behind Union too.

I'm hoping he has otherwise it's ridiculous to have him as a pundit.
I don't like the shouty act he has, much prefer people who know about the game of football. Ferdinand is far more insightful.
From my Brisbane experience (admittedly different cultural make up in Sydney or especially Melbourne) the interest seems to go Broncos (NRL), Queensland Maroons State of Origin , Lions (AFL), Queensland Reds (Union) and then the Roar behind that. It’s not to say that it doesn’t get decent crowds though. You'd be surprised. A population with a significant Greek, Italian, English, Serbian and Croatian heritage means it's pretty popular.
Finally a benefit of spending the day in Milton Keynes and not watching the games...John Hartson fans* will be feeling jolly lucky as he's on again for the 3rd day in a row.
*don't laugh
Collins is certainly no upgrade so far..I miss Saiss
