No we wouldnt
Late to the party and haven’t read rest of thread but this simply cannot happen. If they are going to be able to be that exact as to whether a player is offside or not then I’d rather they changed to offside rule to favour the attacker. Make it so their entire body has to be in front of the defender or something. It’s shit having loads of goals disallowed.
Make it the players heads? Would give attackers a slight advantage over current laws and quick and simple for linesmen and VAR to spot.Late to the party and haven’t read rest of thread but this simply cannot happen.
As a defender you let forwards go if they are goalside of you, that would be good defending as you know they are offside. You can’t just change the rule so that being 3ft offside is fine as your trailing leg is level with some part of the last defender. Would change how the game is played completely.
Like always VAR isn’t the problem it’s the implementation. If we can get instant decision then great, it can work. But the current way where we wait 5 minutes for a decision or teams getting corners from offsides that deliberately weren’t flagged plus fouls/injuries is causing more problems than it is solving.
Well no because are you giving it offside if the players are leaning opposite directions but the defenders trailing leg is further back than the strikers head? Then the opposite of a striker is sliding in feet firstMake it the players heads? Would give attackers a slight advantage over current laws and quick and simple for linesmen and VAR to spot.
Everything is so precise from France compared to all the other teams we've seen today.Suddenly got very easy for France
